      Ryan McMahon went 2-for-6 with a two-run homer to lift the Rockies to a 4-3 win over the Athletics on Wednesday.

      Advice: McMahon had knocked a single in the ninth, then came through in a big spot in the 12th inning. With a runner on in a tie game, he took Kyle Muller deep for a go-ahead two-run blast.       Abraham Toro hit a go-ahead homer in the bottom of the eighth Tuesday as the A’s came back to defeat the Rockies 5-4.

      Advice: Toro’s blast came after Seth Brown tied the game with a two-run homer in the seventh. Toro, who was supposed to become a reserve due to the J.D. Davis acquisition at the end of the spring, has won back his job by hitting .294/.344/.459 in 183 plate appearances.
