    • Cristian Javier (forearm) considered day-to-day
Cristian Javier did not throw his scheduled bullpen session on Sunday due to discomfort in his forearm.

Advice: The 27-year-old right-hander is being considered day-to-day, but that has to put Tuesday’s start against the Mariners in Seattle in jeopardy. Look for the Astros to provide more information on his status prior to Monday’s contest. Fantasy managers should be sure to have a contingency plan in place in the event that Javier is unable to go. • Cristopher Sánchez limits Rockies to one run
Cristopher Sánchez held the Rockies to one run in 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision Friday.

Advice: Sánchez’s velocity has been great in his last two starts, though it didn’t lead to strikeouts tonight (two) at Coors Field like it did last time (eight) against the Nationals. Sánchez lowered his ERA to 3.15, but he remained stuck on two wins. Rotoworld Friday, 11:49 pm
    • Yields one run in Colorado
Sanchez did not factor into the decision Friday against the Rockies, allowing one run on seven hits and one walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Despite allowing eight baserunners, Sanchez managed to hold the Rockies offense in check with a 52.5 percent groundball rate. Surprisingly, the Phillies lefty collected only two strikeouts despite generating 11 whiffs in his 83 total pitches. Sanchez has thrown 54.1 innings this season, producing a 3.15 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 49:19 K:BB. The 27-year-old is currently scheduled to face the Giants on the road in his next start. • Punches out eight in win
Gore (3-4) earned the win Friday over Seattle, allowing one run on four hits and one walk over seven innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: After allowing a home run to J.P. Crawford to lead off the game, Gore rebounded to blank the Mariners over his final six frames. It's the third straight quality start for Gore and the first time he's made it through seven innings this season. The 25-year-old southpaw lowered his ERA to 3.04 with a 1.29 WHIP and 62:17 K:BB over 53.1 innings. Gore will look to stay hot in his next start, currently slated for a tough road matchup in Atlanta. • MacKenzie Gore wins, stellar across seven innings
MacKenzie Gore pitched seven strong innings allowing one earned run and four hits in the Nationals 6-1 win over the Mariners on Friday. He struck out eight, walked one, and earned the win.

Advice: This is it. The MacKenzie Gore breakout is finally here. His command was impeccable in this start living on the edges and giving Seattle very few opportunities to do any damage. Their only run was J.P. Crawford’s lead-off home run on Gore’s second pitch of the game. He never found himself in a 3-0 or 3-1 count and it’s been a pleasure to watch his confidence grow with each start. His ERA sank to 3.04 and there’s no reason to think he’ll slow down any time soon. • Earns fifth win
Rodriguez (5-1) earned the win over the White Sox on Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits and five walks over five innings while striking out seven.

Advice: Rodriguez ran into trouble right away after surrendering a leadoff single to Tommy Pham. The right-hander would fail to retire four of the first six batters in the first inning and even walked home the first run of the contest, but was able to escape without any further damage. His command issues surfaced again in the third when he issued a two-out walk and then hit Paul DeJong with a pitch, leading to Chicago's second run. Rodriguez has allowed just two runs over 11 innings since returning from the injured list, though his five walks Thursday marked a season high. He's issued at least three free passes in three straight outings. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:45 am
    • Rodriguez gets fifth win Thursday
Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs in five innings and picked up the win in the Orioles’ 8-6 win over the White Sox on Thursday.

Advice: Rodriguez was a bit of a mixed bag in his second start since coming off the injured list. The win was his fifth of the season. Rodriguez struck out seven, but also allowed three hits and walked five. His ERA is 3.20 on the season now. The 24-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the Red Sox at home next week.

    • Shaky results in no-decision
Javier did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's win over the Angels, allowing four runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out one over four innings.

Advice: Javier's night got started off on the wrong foot after surrendering a two-run blast to Luis Rengifo in the opening frame. The Angels then got to him for two more runs in the fourth on a trio of hits, which included an RBI-double from Zach Neto. It was a very discouraging performance after Javier put together his best start of the season his previous outing against the A's. After the game, he cited his struggles due to poor mechanics, though he's now given up 11 runs on 13 hits and seven walks while striking out just one batter in 5.1 innings in his two starts surrounding his gem against Oakland. The 27-year-old now owns a 3.89 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 27:19 K:BB in 34.2 innings and lines up to face Seattle next week. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:44 am

    • Cristian Javier struggles in no-decision
Cristian Javier was removed after giving up four runs and eight hits in four innings Tuesday against the Angels.

Advice: Javier’s stuff was well off tonight; he averaged just 90.4 mph with his fastball, which was down 1.5 mph from his previous average this season. He wound up with just one strikeout and three walks. All things considered, he was lucky to give up just the four runs. Javier said afterwards that the decline in velocity was due to poor mechanics and not anything injury-related, so that’s probably good. He’ll face the Mariners next. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:03 pm
