• Sent back down
The Angels optioned Daniel to Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday.

Advice: Daniel was recalled from Triple-A on Monday, but he will be sent back down a day later without appearing in a game for the Angels. The 26-year-old righty owns a 6.08 ERA and 1.81 WHIP at Salt Lake and will continue serving as organizational depth as part of the Bees' rotation. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago

  • Nails down save No. 10
Helsley struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his 10th save of the season in the first game of a doubleheader against the Tigers.

Advice: All 10 pitches Helsley fired were strikes, and he hit triple digits on the radar gun with three of them. The right-hander has been lights out to begin the season, converting 10 of 11 save chances with a 1.69 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 19:2 K:BB through 16 innings. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

  • Freddy Peralta ejected Tuesday after hitting batter
Freddy Peralta was ejected from Tuesday’s start against the Rays.

Advice: Peralta was absolutely dealing in this one, striking out seven and allowing just two runs over 5 1/3 innings before he and Brewers manager Pat Murphy were both ejected by home plate umpire Chris Guccione in the sixth inning after Jose Siri was plunked by a 3-0 pitch. The ejection was made even more outrageous by the fact that Milwaukee held a five-run lead at the time. The 27-year-old righty will face the Royals on Monday in his next outing. • Fans nine in no-decision
Gibson came away with a no-decision in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Tigers, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over seven innings in a 2-1 win. He struck out nine.

Advice: A Riley Greene solo shot in the fourth inning was the only damage off Gibson, but he left the mound in line for the loss as he got out-dueled by Jack Flaherty. The Cardinals were able to rally in the ninth to take Gibson off the hook, however. He generated 30 called or swinging strikes among his 98 pitches while setting a new season high in strikeouts, and the 36-year-old righty sports a 3.79 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 29:14 K:BB through 38 innings. Gibson lines up to make his next start at home early next week against the Mets. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago

  • Moved to 60-day IL
The Angels transferred Silseth to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Silseth has been on the injured list since April 8 due to right elbow inflammation. He has not thrown at all since landing on the IL and does not have a clear timetable to return, though he won't be eligible to come off the injured list until June 7. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago

  • Steven Matz struggles Tuesday in loss to Tigers
Steven Matz allowed four runs over 3 1/3 innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Matz turned in his second straight clunker as he attempted to pitch through a lower-back issue that clearly impacted his performance. He was lit up for seven hits, including a solo shot to rookie Wenceel Pérez in an abbreviated outing. He notched only one strikeout and also issued a pair of walks. The 32-year-old lefty boasts an inflated 6.18 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 17/11K/BB ratio across 27 2/3 innings (six starts) so far. It’s fair to wonder how much longer the Cardinals can afford to stick with him in the rotation. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

  • Grabs first save
Webb earned the save Tuesday against the Yankees, striking out three in 1.1 perfect innings.

Advice: Webb struck out Aaron Judge for the final out in the eighth inning before setting the Yankees down in order in the ninth, earning his first save this season. While the 30-year-old Webb was impressive against the heart of New York's batting order, he isn't likely to see many save chances going forward in Baltimore -- Craig Kimbrel (back) and Yennier Cano were both likely unavailable Tuesday. Webb sports a 2.03 ERA on the season with a 0.90 WHIP and 15:3 K:BB across 13.1 innings. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago

  • Wins second straight
Kremer (2-2) earned the win Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks over seven innings. He struck out two.

Advice: After going 0-2 with a 4.91 ERA in his first two starts this year, Kremer's now won back-to-back outings, allowing four runs over 12.1 innings in that span. The home-run ball continues to hurt Kremer -- he's allowed eight homers so far this year, tied for third-most in the league. Still, he's managed to post a respectable 4.19 ERA with a 1.08 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB over six starts (34.1 innings). Kremer's currently in line for a road matchup with the Reds on Sunday in his next start. Rotowire.com 41 minutes ago
