    • Colt Keith draws start versus left-hander
Even though the Tigers are facing a tough lefty in Cole Ragans, Colt Keith is in the lineup for Wednesday’s game versus the Royals.

Advice: It’s the fourth time this year he’s drawn a start against a lefty. That he’s gone 6-for-8 the last two days certainly helped his cause here. Kerry Carpenter and Wenceel Pérez are taking a seat versus Ragans. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:20 am

    • Stays hot Tuesday
Keith went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday's 10-3 loss to the Royals.

Advice: While the Tigers struggled as a team, Keith continued to roll. The rookie is batting a robust .441 over his last 10 contests, and he's recorded three or more hits in a game three times already this month. Keith came into May batting just .154 but has pushed that figure to .230, and the 22-year-old has a prospect pedigree that suggests he'll be able to sustain this level of play. • Tallies three hits Monday
Keith went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Monday's 8-3 loss to the Royals.

Advice: While Keith is batting just .214 overall, he's been better in May with a .350 batting average across 14 games. It's a promising development for the rookie, who batted .306 across two levels in the minors last season. It can take young players some time to translate minor-league production into MLB success, but it seems like Keith is starting to turn the corner, and he has the talent to finish his debut campaign on a high note. • On bench versus lefty
Keith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks

Advice: Keith went 4-for-9 with a walk, two RBI and three runs while starting the first two games of the series, but he'll sit Sunday as lefty Jordan Montgomery takes the mound for Arizona. Andy Ibanez will man second base and bat leadoff. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:53 am

    • Stott blasts fifth home run Saturday
Bryson Stott went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Stott continues to swing a solid bat for the Phillies. His home run tied the game in the seventh inning. Stott regularly bats fifth in the order and has a .282 average and .861 OPS on the season now.

    • Colt Keith picks up four hits in victory over ARI
Colt Keith went 4-for-5 while scoring three runs and driving in two Friday against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It’s the first four-hit game of Keith’s career, and also the first time the rookie has scored multiple runs in a contest. The 22-year-old has mostly been ineffective thus far, but perhaps this is the contest that gets Keith going for the remainder of 2024. Weirder things have happened. Rotoworld Friday, 9:23 pm

    • Four hits in blowout win
Keith went 4-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 13-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: While all four hits were singles, it was still a big game for the infielder, who entered Friday hitting .171 on the year. That's up to .197 after this contest, and he's batting .391 (9-for-23) over his last seven games. Keith has a .477 OPS, no home runs, 12 RBI, 11 runs scored, three stolen bases and three doubles through 133 plate appearances. He should continue to handle a strong-side platoon role at second base. • Stott returns to the lineup Friday
Bryson Stott is back in the lineup, batting fifth for the Phillies against the Nationals on Friday.

Advice: Stott came off the bench on Thursday and had an RBI single and RBI fielder’s choice against the Mets. He’s hitting .280 with a .842 OPS on the season. Rotoworld Friday, 12:07 pm

    • Impactful off bench
Stott went 1-for-2 with a walk, two RBI and a run during Thursday's 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Mets.

Advice: Stott initially was left out of the lineup against southpaw Jose Quintana -- a normal occurrence for the lefty-hitting second baseman -- but entered the game as a pinch hitter in the seventh. He walked in his first plate appearance and came around to score on a Kyle Schwarber double, drove in the game-tying run on an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth, and brought the Phillies to within one in the 11th after a fielder's choice plated Nick Castellanos. In his last eight games, Stott is batting .478 with 11 RBI and 10 runs scored. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:57 pm
