    • Max Fried limits Pirates to one over six
Max Fried fired six innings while allowing one run with four strikeouts in a no-decision versus the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Fried wasn’t as dominant in terms of missing bats as his starting counterpart Paul Skenes was, but he was effective nonetheless. The southpaw hurler did allow six hits and three walks, but he was unscored upon minus a sac fly in the fifth inning from Edward Olivares. Fried now has a 2.91 ERA on the campaign, and he’s scheduled to take on the Phillies and Aaron Nola on Friday. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:18 pm

    • Bibee picks up seventh win against Royals Saturday
Tanner Bibee allowed two runs in six innings and got the win in the Guardians’ 7-2 victory over the Royals on Saturday.

Advice: Bibee gave up four hits, walked none and struck out three. The win was his seventh of the season and third in a row. It wasn’t a big strikeout game for Bibee, just another solid outing. He has a 3.47 ERA and 3.29 xFIP on the year. The 25-year-old right-hander is set to face the Giants at home next week.

    • Strikes out seven
Knack allowed a run on five hits and struck out seven without walking a batter over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Friday.

Advice: Knack was pulled at 76 pitches (49 strikes) after giving up a solo home run to Luis Matos and singles to Brett Wisely and Jorge Soler in the fifth inning. While Knack wouldn't have qualified for the win, it was still a positive showing despite it being tied for his shortest start of the season in the majors. The right-hander has maintained a 2.08 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 25:8 K:BB through 30.1 innings over six starts. It looks like he's good for at least a short-term stay in the rotation, which lines him up for a home start versus the Diamondbacks next week. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:20 pm

    • Knack strikes out seven over 4 2/3 in no-decision
Landon Knack didn’t factor into the decision despite allowing just one run over 4 2/3 innings with seven strikeouts against the Giants on Friday.

Advice: It was another strong outing for Knack, but the Dodgers pulled the right-hander after he gave up a solo homer in the fifth to Luis Matos. The right-hander allowed four other hits — five total — while not issuing a walk. Lack has given up just one earned run over his two starts since being called up, and his ERA as a member of the Dodgers in 2024 is a strong 2.08. His next outing hasn’t been announced, but there’s a very good chance he starts Thursday against the Diamondbacks. Rotoworld Friday, 10:11 pm

    • Strong results in rehab outing
Williams (elbow) yielded one run on three hits and two walks over four innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Columbus on Thursday.

Advice: Williams wasn't very efficient, needing 82 pitches to cover his four frames. The results were impressive, though, as he struck out six, induced 16 whiffs and gave up just one batted ball hit at 95-plus mph. The Guardians have not confirmed any plans for when Williams' season debut for them will occur, but it could be next week, as soon as Tuesday versus the White Sox. Williams has been on the injured list all season with a right elbow problem. Rotowire.com Thursday, 11:02 am

    • Drawing another start
Knack is scheduled to start Friday's game against the Giants in San Francisco, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Due to off days Thursday and next Monday, the Dodgers could have gotten by with a four-man rotation until next weekend, but Knack will earn another turn as Los Angeles' No. 5 starter coming off a solid showing in his return to the big club last week. After being called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City last Friday, Knack tossed five scoreless innings while taking a no-decision against the Angels. Knack's stay in the rotation will likely last as long as Walker Buehler (hip) is on the injured list. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:49 pm

    • Denied two-start week
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that Bello won't start Sunday's game against the Padres as previously planned and will instead make his next start Wednesday in Miami, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Advice: Heading into the week, Bello had been lined up for two starts, but the Red Sox are opting to give him more time off before his next turn after he was blasted for seven earned runs on five hits and three walks over 2.1 innings in Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays. According to Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald, Cora clarified that Bello isn't dealing with any sort of physical issue, and the right-hander's extra time off between starts is designed to help him better identify the source of the control problems that have become a recurring concern. Bello has issued multiple walks in seven straight starts and in all but one of his last 12 outings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:15 pm
    • Red Sox push Brayan Bello’s next start back
Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora told reporters on Wednesday that Brayan Bello’s next start will be pushed back until Wednesday.

Advice: Cora noted that the team wanted to give the 25-year-old hurler a couple of extra days to work on some of the issues that have plagued him recently. Josh Winckowski will start in his place on Sunday against the Padres in San Diego. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:12 pm
