    • Double, homer in win
Castro went 2-for-4 with a double, a two-run home run and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over Arizona while also being hit by a pitch.

Advice: Castro was hit by a pitch in his second at-bat and responded with a leadoff double on the first pitch in his next trip to the plate, before then coming home on a double from Trevor Larnach. The shortstop would add a two-run homer in the fifth to increase Minnesota's lead to seven runs, giving him two homers over his last five games. Castro has also hit safely in nine straight, posting multiple hits in five of those contests. He's batting .405 (15-for-37) over that stretch with eight RBI and nine runs scored. • Willi Castro slugs two-run homer vs. D-Backs
Willi Castro went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Advice: After getting hit by a pitch in the second inning, Castro led off the fourth with a double before scoring on a double by Trevor Larnach. Castro then took Brandon Hughes deep for a two-run homer in the fifth to extend the Twins lead. The versatile 27-year-old is slashing a solid .274/.359/.455 with seven homers, 47 runs scored, 26 RBI, and eight steals across 315 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:24 pm

    • Getting fifth straight start
Loperfido will start in right field and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Loperfido will stick in the starting nine for a fifth straight game after going 4-for-13 with two doubles, one walk, two RBI, one stolen base and one run through his first four games since receiving a call-up from Triple-A Sugar Land. Houston has room in its everyday outfield for both Loperfido and Chas McCormick for the moment, but one of the two will likely lose out on playing time once Kyle Tucker (shin) makes his return from the 10-day injured list, perhaps as soon as next week. • May remain at first base
Steer started at first base and went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 9-5 loss to Pittsburgh.

Advice: Steer's been locked in of late, going 11-for-35 with eight RBI over the last nine contests. He began the season as the team's primary left fielder but has played a lot at first base since Christian Encarnacion-Strand (wrist) landed on the injured list in May. With news that Encarnacion-Strand opted for surgery that likely spells the end of his season, Steer is in line to become the club's primary first baseman. That could change when Noelvi Marte (suspension) returns. At that point, with Marte slotted in at third base, Jeimer Candelario could move from third to first. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:10 am

    • Drives in three in win
Steer went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Monday's 11-5 win over Pittsburgh.

Advice: Steer sparked the Reds' offense with a two-run double in the fourth inning, then singled in a run as part of the team's four-run sixth. Following a 13-game stretch in which he had just three RBI, Steer has knocked in five over the last three games. He leads Cincinnati with 48 RBI, which ranks 20th overall in MLB. • Spencer Steer tallies two hits, three RBI in blowout
Spencer Steer went 2-for-4 with three RBI on Monday in the Reds’ lopsided win over the Pirates.

Advice: It’s pretty remarkable that the Reds finished with 11 runs in this one considering they put three straight zeroes on the scoreboard to open the contest before Steer finally got Cincinnati on the board with a two-run double in the fourth inning. The versatile 26-year-old has five homers and one steal over his last 30 games and is up to nine homers and 12 thefts overall this season through 76 contests. Rotoworld Monday, 7:19 pm

    • Expects to be out four weeks
Stanton said Sunday that he expects to be out for roughly four weeks as a result of his strained left hamstring, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.

Advice: Stanton landed on the 10-day injured list Sunday and received a platelet-rich plasma injection to aid in his healing process, but it doesn't seem like the slugging outfielder is on track for a speedy recovery. Trent Grisham could be a candidate to start nearly everyday for the Yankees while Stanton is sidelined, especially if the team decides to use Aaron Judge as its primary designated hitter going forward. • Stanton diagnosed with mild hamstring strain
Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone said after Sunday’s game that Giancarlo Stanton was diagnosed with a mild left hamstring strain.

Advice: The 34-year-old slugger received a PRP injection on Sunday as well and told reporters that he expects to spend around four weeks on the injured list. That leaves a gaping hole in the middle of the lineup that the Yankees will need to fill for the next month or so. In 69 games on the season, Stanton has hit a respectable .246/.302/.492 with 18 homers and 45 RBI. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:05 pm

    • Back in lineup Sunday
Rodriguez is starting in center field and batting third in Sunday's game against Miami.

Advice: Rodriguez received a scheduled day off Saturday, but he's back for the series finale Sunday. On the season, he's batting .264/.313/.352 with seven home runs and 29 RBI over 329 plate appearances while stealing 16 bases. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:32 am
