Hill started in center field and went 1-for-4 in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Hill was part of a roster shakeup Wednesday; he replaced Ezequiel Duran, who was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock. Rangers general manager Chris Young is trying to right the ship of the 2023 World Series champs. "It'll be performance-driven," Young told Kenndi Landry of MLB.com. "The reality is that anybody who is performing in Triple-A, there will be an opportunity here and we're gonna go with the team that helps us win games, the guys who are hot." Hill slashed .351/.416/.617 over 42 games at Round Rock and seemingly will be given an opportunity to dig the Rangers out of a hole. Texas is third in AL West with a 37-43 record. • Likely back when first eligible
Blackmon (hamstring) will meet the Rockies at the start of their series against the White Sox on Friday and is likely to be activated from the injured list, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Blackmon has been working out in Denver and has been feeling better. Manager Bud Black indicated that Blackmon is likely to need only a minimum stint on the injured list, though his return has not yet been made official. Rotowire.com Today, 6:38 am
    • Launches ninth homer
Conforto went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Cubs.

Advice: Conforto launched a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the second to put the Giants up 2-1 and was directly followed by another solo shot off the bat of David Villar. The outfielder has now posted at least one RBI in three consecutive games and in four of his last five overall. However, Conforto still has just one multi-hit effort this month, where he's now batting .125 with two homers, nine RBI and four runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 6:28 am
    • Smacks third homer
Matos went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's victory over the Cubs.

Advice: Matos jumped on a hanging knuckle-curve from Drew Smyly in the fifth and sent it into the stands in left-center field for his third home run of the campaign and first since May 18 against Colorado. It marked the outfielder's second consecutive two-hit performance and first RBI this month. He's also hit safely in three straight contests and is now batting .320 (8-for-25) in June. • Late addition to lineup
Jordan started in left field and went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Jordan was a late addition to the lineup after Jake Fraley was scratched due to a calf issue. It was Jordan's second start in three games since his contract was selected from Triple-A Louisville earlier this week. The Reds are now dealing with two injuries in the outfield, including TJ Friedl (hamstring), who landed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 6:00 am
    • Plays back-to-back days
Thomas (hamstring) started in center field and played seven innings for Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.

Advice: Thomas played in the field on back-to-back days, bolstering the Diamondbacks' hopes of having him rejoin the parent club this weekend against the Athletics. Per Arizona assistant general manager Mike Fitzgerald, the outfielder will play Friday and Saturday for the Aces. After that, he could return to the Diamondbacks. Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports. Thomas is 1-for-7 in two games at Reno and 8-for-20 overall on the current rehab assignment, including a stint at the Arizona Complex League. • Double, homer in win
Castro went 2-for-4 with a double, a two-run home run and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over Arizona while also being hit by a pitch.

Advice: Castro was hit by a pitch in his second at-bat and responded with a leadoff double on the first pitch in his next trip to the plate, before then coming home on a double from Trevor Larnach. The shortstop would add a two-run homer in the fifth to increase Minnesota's lead to seven runs, giving him two homers over his last five games. Castro has also hit safely in nine straight, posting multiple hits in five of those contests. He's batting .405 (15-for-37) over that stretch with eight RBI and nine runs scored. • Lone bright spot in loss
Judge went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run and a walk in a loss to the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: Though the Yankees suffered through an ugly loss to their crosstown rival, Judge kept chugging along, smashing a 400-foot, two-run homer in the sixth inning for his team's only runs. The long ball was the slugger's 10th through 21 games in a monstrous June during which he's also produced 32 RBI. Judge is the league leader with 30 home runs on the campaign, and he's just the third player in MLB history to reach 30 homers before the All-Star break three times in his career, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. • Goes deep in win
O'Hearn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Guardians.

Advice: O'Hearn snapped a 13-game homer drought with his eighth-inning blast. While his power wasn't present in that stretch, the designated hitter went 13-for-46 (.283) with 11 RBI. O'Hearn continues to excel in a strong-side platoon role, posting a .284/.340/.470 slash line with 10 homers, 33 RBI, 28 runs scored and three stolen bases over 235 plate appearances this year, with his success fueled by a career-low 10.2 percent strikeout rate.
