    Advice: Back in the two-hole of the batting order with Mookie Betts out, Smith hit a solo shot with two outs off Rockies starter Ty Blach with two outs in the fourth.     Advice: Alvarez smoked a homer in the first inning off Chris Flexen to give the Astros a 1-0 lead, and he tied the game at 3-3 with his single in the seventh. The 26-year-old outfielder has now driven in 39 runs, and it’s the 15th homer of the campaign.     Yordan Alvarez is back in the lineup for Thursday’s contest against the White Sox.

    Advice: Alvarez was out of the lineup for the last two days while tending to a family matter, but he’ll be back in Houston’s lineup hitting third for Thursday’s showdown in Chicago.     Advice: Alvarez was away from the Astros for the last two days to tend to a family matter, but he caught a flight back to Chicago and rejoined the team in time for the series finale with the White Sox. While he's struck out 16 times over that span, he's still making enough contact to be a huge positive atop the Orioles' lineup. For the season, the star shortstop is at a .273/.371/.582 slash line with a career-best 11 steals as well as 22 homers, 49 RBI and 59 runs scored over 72 contests.
