Perez singled in the sixth inning to drive in Javier Baez and Carson Kelly was thrown out at home by Kevin Kiermaier on the same play.     Daulton Varsho went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Tigers on Thursday.

    Advice: Varsho came to the plate in a tie game in the seventh inning and hit a two-run home run off Tigers starter Jack Flaherty that put the Blue Jays ahead for good.     Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and a two-run home run against the Tigers on Thursday.

The 31-year-old has homered eight times, and three of those blasts have come in his last three games.
