• Slugs grand slam
Varsho went 2-for-5 with a grand slam in Sunday's win versus Cleveland.

Advice: Varsho took Nick Sandlin deep in the fifth inning to record the third grand slam of his career. Varsho has enjoyed a nice start to the month of June, batting .277 with eight extra-base hits and two steals. On the season, the versatile 27-year-old is batting .220 with 11 home runs, 35 RBI, 40 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 67 games. Rotowire.com Today, 5:12 pm

  • Set for MRI on Monday
Carroll (side) will undergo an MRI in Phoenix on Monday, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Advice: Carroll left Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox in the seventh inning with left side discomfort and he will now require some additional imaging. The Diamondbacks will begin a three-game series on the road against the Nationals on Tuesday and with Carroll staying in Arizona for the MRI on Monday, it's possible that he's forced to miss at least one contest. In his absence, Randal Grichuk would stand to see an increased role in the outfield. Rotowire.com Today, 4:48 pm

  • Corbin Carroll (side) heading for MRI exam
Corbin Carroll will remain in Arizona to get an MRI exam after leaving Sunday’s game with rib cage discomfort.

Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder sustained the injury while making a throw from the outfield during Sunday’s game. While the exact nature and severity of the injury are not yet known, the fact that he’s heading for an MRI exam isn’t encouraging. If it’s an oblique issue, a stint on the injured list seems like a near certainty. Fantasy managers should be sure to have a contingency plan in place for next week. Rotoworld Today, 4:35 pm

  • Leaves Sunday in seventh inning
Carroll left Sunday in the seventh inning against the White Sox with an apparent left side injury, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Piecoro observed Carroll reacting after a throw in the top of the inning. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. replaced Carroll in the game, with Jake McCarthy moving from left field to center field to replace Carroll. Rotowire.com Today, 4:10 pm

  • De La Cruz homers, steals base in loss Sunday
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-3 with two walks, three runs scored, a solo home run, a triple and a stolen base against the Brewers on Sunday.

Advice: De La Cruz filled up the box score on Sunday. The home run was his 12th of the season and the stolen base was his 36th. He’s hitting .235, but he’s been the most explosive player in fantasy this year. Rotoworld Today, 2:27 pm

  • Kwan has four-hit game in loss to Jays Sunday
Steven Kwan went 4-for-5 with one RBI against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Advice: Kwan is hitting a ridiculous .398 on the season now. It’s probably not sustainable as his BABIP is .418 compared to his career .320 BABIP, but Kwan benefits from his low seven percent strikeout percentage. He’s going to put the ball in play a lot and right now everything is finding a hole.

  • Varsho hits grand slam for 11th home run Sunday
Daulton Varsho went 2-for-4 with a grand slam against the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: The home run was Varsho’s 11th of the season. He could’ve had an even bigger game as he came up with the bases loaded again in the eighth inning, but he struck out. While he’s only hitting .220, he’s produced in the power categories with 11 home runs and 35 RBI. His .238 ISO is even higher than his .207 iSO in 2022 when he hit 27 home runs with the Diamondbacks.

  • Jordan Lawlar undergoing MRI on hamstring
Jordan Lawlar is undergoing an MRI on his hamstring after leaving Saturday’s game with Triple-A Reno.

Advice: Lawlar had just made his way back to Triple-A Reno after missing the start of the season due to surgery on his thumb. The 21-year-old is one of the top prospects in baseball, and if healthy, he has a chance to be a contributor this summer. Unfortunately there’s now questions as to whether that can happen, and he joins a long list of prospects who have dealt with injury at the Triple-A level. Rotoworld Today, 11:43 am

  • Another big performance
Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Vaughn drove home Chicago's first run of the game with an RBI single in the third before adding a two-run shot in the fifth, boosting the team's lead to three runs. It marked the first baseman's fifth long ball in his last 10 games, and he's now batting .340 in June with nine RBI and 11 runs scored. Vaughn has also recorded multiple hits in four of his last six contests. Rotowire.com Today, 8:00 am
