    • Sidelined for eight weeks
The Yankees placed Rizzo on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right forearm fracture.

Advice: Per Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News, Rizzo will be shut down from all activities for up to five weeks, and it will be eight weeks until he's ready to play in games. Ben Rice is up to take his roster spot and is starting at first base Tuesday against the Orioles in his major-league debut. The Yankees also figure to use DJ LeMahieu at first base and Oswaldo Cabrera at third base some days while Rizzo is shelved. Rotowire.com Today, 1:43 pm
    • Anthony Rizzo heads to IL with forearm fracture
Yankees placed 1B Anthony Rizzo on the 10-day injured list with a right forearm fracture.

Advice: Rizzo is expected to miss roughly two months after suffering a fracture in his right forearm last weekend during a first-base collision. The 34-year-old veteran first baseman hasn’t made much of an offensive impact, but he remains an excellent defender at the cold corner, which is where his loss will be felt the most over the next few weeks. There’s a chance he’s back at some point in mid-August. Rotoworld Today, 1:21 pm
    • Shut down for multiple weeks
Rizzo (arm) said Tuesday that he will be shut down from all baseball activities for 4-5 weeks, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: When it was revealed Monday that Rizzo is dealing with a fracture to the radial neck of his right arm, the initial timetable of up to six weeks was provided. However, this latest report suggests a six-week absence could be a worst-case scenario. For his part, Rizzo said Tuesday he expects to play again this season. Ben Rice will be called up to take his spot on the Yankees' active roster. Rotowire.com Today, 12:53 pm
    • Tyler Freeman out of lineup Tuesday vs. Mariners
Tyler Freeman is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s tilt against the Mariners.

Advice: It appears to just be a day off for Freeman. The Guardians instead will give a start to Daniel Schneemann in center field, and he’ll hit eighth against Bryce Miller and the Mariners in the opening game of the three-game set. Rotoworld Today, 11:54 am

    • Not in Tuesday's lineup
Freeman is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Mariners.

Advice: It looks to be a routine day off for the 25-year-old. Daniel Schneemann will start in center field for the Guardians on Tuesday while Freeman gets some rest. Rotowire.com Today, 11:39 am

    • Blasts homer in loss
Turang went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Monday in a loss to the Angels.

Advice: Turang plated the final run of the contest with his 419-foot solo shot in the fifth inning. The second-year infielder has gone deep four times through 68 games this season after hitting six homers in 137 contests last year. Turang's skill set is more centered on speed than power, so anything fantasy managers get in the homer department is a nice bonus. The speedster has made a big impact on the rosters of fantasy managers who had the foresight to pick him up late in fantasy drafts or on the waiver wire, as he's slashing .291/.359/.406 on the season with 25 RBI, 35 runs and 26 stolen bases in 27 attempts. • Fans seven in no-decision
Assad allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over five innings in a no-decision against San Francisco on Monday.

Advice: Assad needed 92 pitches to get through five frames, but he was effective during his time on the mound, limiting the Giants to just a fourth-inning run. However, the right-hander couldn't pick up his first win since mid-May, as Chicago's offense wasn't able to push across a run until after his departure. Nonetheless, this was a nice bounce-back for Assad after he surrendered seven earned runs over 10.1 frames across his previous two outings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:47 pm

    • Collects three hits
Alvarez went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI in Monday's win against Texas.

Advice: Alvarez singled and scored in the fifth inning before delivering RBI base hits in the sixth and eighth frames. He entered Monday's game in a 2-for-14 (.143) slump since returning from the injured list. Alvarez produced his first multi-hit game since April 11. He's now slashing .243/.282/.338 with 12 RBI through 23 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:41 pm
    • Assad allows one in five innings against Giants
Javier Assad allowed one run in five innings and got a no-decision against the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Assad gave up five hits, walked two and struck out seven. He won four of his first nine starts of the season, but hasn’t won any of his last six starts. Assad struck out at least seven batters for the fourth time in his last five starts. His ERA is now 2.75 on the year. The 26-year-old right-hander is set to face the Mets at home this weekend.
