    • In line to start Saturday
Suarez (hand) is in line to start Saturday versus the Phillies in London after playing catch again Wednesday, Paul Casella of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Suarez had been slated to throw a bullpen session Wednesday, but instead he played catch for the second straight day. The change of plans does not appear to have altered anything for this weekend, as the southpaw remains on track to make his next scheduled start. Suarez had to exit his last outing Saturday against the Cardinals after being hit on the left hand by a comebacker. Rotowire.com 57 minutes ago

    • Receiving rare day off
Doyle is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Doyle will exit the starting nine for the first time since May 19 and just the third time all season, opening up center field for Jake Cave. The Rockies are likely just giving Doyle a breather for a day game after a night game while he's in the midst of a minor slump at the plate. Over his last five starts, Doyle has gone 3-for-15 with four strikeouts against two walks. Rotowire.com Today, 9:14 am

    • Cruises to eighth win
Gil (8-1) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing one hit and three walks over six scoreless innings in a 5-1 victory over the Twins. He struck out six.

Advice: The 26-year-old didn't miss a beat after being named the American League Rookie and Pitcher of the Month for May. Gil extended his quality-start streak to seven with the performance, and he's won all seven of those outings with an eye-popping 0.60 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 50:15 K:BB through 44.2 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which is scheduled to be a marquee matchup against the Dodgers in Yankee Stadium this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:04 am

    • Rough night in Cleveland
Lugo came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Guardians, coughing up five runs on six hits and a walk over six-plus innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Kansas City staked the veteran right-hander to a 5-0 lead, but homers by Josh Naylor in the bottom of the fourth inning and Tyler Freeman in the seventh fueled a Cleveland comeback. Lugo tossed 64 of 98 pitches for strikes before exiting, as he lasted at least six innings for the seventh time in his last eight trips to the mound, a stretch in which he sports a 2.19 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 57:12 K:BB through 53.1 innings. He'll look to bounce back in his next start, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Mariners. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 am
    • Secures save No. 6
Sewald earned the save Tuesday against the Giants. He plunked a batter but struck out two and did not allow a hit in the ninth inning.

Advice: Sewald was presented with a save opportunity after Mike Yastrzemski made it a three-run ballgame with his home run in the eighth. He began by hitting Thairo Estrada but faced no threat after that. He has not given up a run since his first appearance of the season and has allowed just three hits total while converting all six save chances. For the year, the 34-year-old boasts an 0.96 ERA, 0.43 WHIP and 10:1 K:BB in 9.1 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 6:44 am
    • Paul Seward remains perfect in save opportunities
Paul Sewald struck out two in a scoreless ninth for a save Tuesday against the Giants.

Advice: Sewald hit Thairo Estrada on his elbow guard to begin the ninth, but he faced no further threat. It was his sixth save in six tries since he came off the injured list a month ago. He’s gone nine straight outings without allowing a run. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:51 pm
    • Dealing with back injury
Munoz has been dealing with a lower-back injury over the past few weeks and aggravated the injury during his collision with Oakland's Max Schuemann in Tuesday's 4-3 win, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports. He recorded two outs and was charged with one earned run on two hits en route to collecting his fourth hold of the season.

Advice: The initial concern following Munoz's removal from Tuesday's game was with his right ankle/leg, which seemed to get pinned underneath Schuemann, but the issue now appears to be linked to the closer's ongoing back problem. Manager Scott Servais said Munoz will head in for an MRI on Wednesday to determine the severity of his latest flareup, at which point the Mariners will likely make a decision on whether or not the 25-year-old righty will require a trip to the injured list. Should Munoz have to miss time, Ryne Stanek would likely be the next man up for saves. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:04 pm

    • Andrés Muñoz to undergo MRI on back
The Mariners said Andrés Muñoz has been dealing with a back issue that flared up during the home plate collision during Tuesday’s game, necessitating Muñoz’s removal from the game.

Advice: Apparently, this has been ongoing for a couple of weeks, but this is the first time the Mariners have expressed concern. He’s expected to undergo an MRI on Wednesday to see if there’s something significant going on in there. Ryne Stanek is probably worth picking up for mixed leaguers in need of saves. • Exits following collision
Munoz was removed from Tuesday's game against the Athletics with an apparent injury, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Munoz collided with Max Schuemann while covering home plate following a wild pitch, appearing to get his right ankle/leg caught underneath the sliding Schuemann. After throwing a warmup pitch, the right-handed reliever was taken out of the game, though he was able to head into the Mariners' clubhouse under his own power. An update on the severity of Munoz's injury should come before Wednesday's game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:33 pm
