    • Perez has two-hit night in win over Tigers
      Salvador Perez went 2-for-5 with one RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Tigers.

      Advice: The real story of the night was Bobby Witt Jr.'s two-homer, six RBI performance, but Perez also managed two hits, with his first coming on a single that scored Witt Jr. Perez now has 39 RBI on the season and has hit safely in seven straight games.     • Oneil Cruz sets Statcast record on 3 hits in win
      Oneil Cruz went 3-for-5 with one RBI in a win over the Giants on Tuesday.

      Advice: All three of Cruz’s hits were blasted with a 121.5 mph double, a 120.4 mph single, and a 116.3 mph double. He’s now the first player in the Statcast era to have three hits in one game over 115 mph, and his 121.5 mph double is the hardest-hit ball in MLB action this year, topping the 120.4 mph single he hit earlier in the game today. That’s quite a performance. Cruz is 19-for-64 (.297) in May with four home runs, 10 runs scored, and 11 RBI. He does have 18 strikeouts in 16 games, but his production has certainly started to tick up and if stolen bases follow, we could see a full breakout. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:24 pm

    • Sparks rally Monday
      Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 8-3 win over the Tigers.

      Advice: It was a close game until the sixth inning, when Perez ignited a six-run rally for the Royals with his solo shot. The catcher has hit safely in six straight games, going 10-for-21 (.476) in that span. the homer was his first since May 3. Perez remains one of the top hitters in baseball this season with a .341/.404/.565 slash line, nine long balls, 38 RBI, 19 runs scored and 11 doubles over 47 contests.     • Slugs grand slam in win
      Freeman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: The homer was Freeman's first since May 11 and his third in May. He gave the Dodgers the lead in the third inning, and they never looked back. Freeman is up to five long balls, 29 RBI, 31 runs scored, one stolen base and a .298/.409/.464 slash line through 50 contests. He's not hitting for as much power as he did last year, when he racked up 29 homers, 59 doubles and a .567 slugging percentage, but there's little to complain about from what the first baseman's provided so far in 2024.       Freddie Freeman went 2-for-4 and hit a grand slam Monday as the Dodgers down the Diamondbacks 6-4.

      Advice: The Dodgers scored all of their runs in the third, an inning that also featured homers from Kiké Hernandez and Will Smith. Freeman’s slam was the sixth of his career.     • Perez blasts ninth home run Monday
      Salvador Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Tigers on Monday.



      Advice: The home run was Perez’ ninth of the season. It came in the sixth inning off Tigers reliever Joey Wentz. Perez is now 16-for-41 (.390) against left-handed pitchers this season. He’s hitting an incredible .341 overall. The 34-year-old is a career .269 hitter and has never even hit .300 in a single-season where he’s played at least 100 games.

    • Drives in three
      Rosario went 2-for-5 with a stolen base, three RBI and a run scored in Monday's victory over Minnesota.

      Advice: Rosario knocked two singles against his former club to collect his first three-RBI game with the Nationals. However, the highlight of the 32-year-old's evening came in the sixth inning when he was credited with a steal of home. The veteran outfielder has caught fire in May, hitting .333 (16-for-48) with five homers, 14 RBI and 13 runs scored.       Martinez (illness) will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in Monday's game in Cleveland.

      Rays activated 2B Brandon Lowe from the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: It’s hard to feel too confident about Lowe considering he experienced multiple setbacks during his rehab assignment and had to see a specialist. However, the Rays feel that he’s healthy enough to return; however, he was hitting just .185/.267/.333 with a homer and four RBI in eight games before being sidelined. Lowe has produced power in the past, but we also know that he will sit against left-handed pitching and the batting average will not be much of a help in fantasy leagues, which makes him tough to roster outside of deeper daily moves leagues.
