    • Brandon Lowe’s exit ‘precautionary’ Friday at AAA
Brandon Lowe (oblique) made a precautionary exit from Friday’s minor league rehab game for Triple-A Durham.

Advice: Lowe appears to be fine, but the Rays didn’t want to take any chances with wet field conditions, which led to the veteran second baseman’s removal after just one at-bat during Friday’s contest. He’s gone 2-for-5 with a grand slam in a pair of rehab contests so far and figures to be ready to return to Tampa Bay’s lineup at some point next week. He’s been on the shelf since early April due to an oblique strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:08 am

    • Early exit from rehab outing
Lowe (oblique) was pulled from Friday's rehab appearance with Triple-A Durham for precautionary reasons, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Lowe has been on a rehab assignment since Tuesday and gone 2-for-5 with a home run across three games. It's unclear why he was pulled or if this will push back his return timeline. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:41 pm

    • Rays send Brandon Lowe on rehab assignment
Rays sent 2B Brandon Lowe (oblique) on a rehab assignment to Triple-A Durham.

Advice: Lowe was placed on the 10-day injured list in mid-April and the team has been careful with him before getting him to a minor league assignment. He’ll likely need to get two or three games under his belt since he’s been out for almost a month, but he’ll be a much-needed addition to the Rays and fantasy managers that have him on rosters. • Picks up seventh steal
Altuve went 1-for-4 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base Friday against the Mariners.

Advice: Altuve had a productive day from the leadoff spot that included the go-ahead RBI in the seventh inning. He also stole his seventh bag of the season and third in his last two contests. Altuve has seven homers across 146 plate appearances and is batting .348, providing excellent production across the board. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:15 am

    • Altuve drives in run, steals base in win over M’s
Jose Altuve went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in a win Friday over the Mariners.

Advice: Altuve hit a perfect safety squeeze to knock in his 12th run of the game and give Houston a 4-3 lead in the seventh inning. The steal was the seventh of the season and 300th of his career. Altuve has been sensational thus far in 2024, and is playing near — if not at — the MVP level he reached not all that long ago. • Brandon Lowe (oblique) ready for rehab assignment
Brandon Lowe (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Durham on Tuesday.

Advice: The 29-year-old slugger has been shelved since April 9 due to a right oblique strain. Given the long layoff, he’s likely to require several games at the Triple-A level to get his timing back before he’s ready to return to a Rays’ lineup that is in desperate need of a boost. Lowe was hitting just .185/.267/.333 with a homer and four RBI in eight games before being sidelined. Rotoworld Friday, 2:24 pm

    • Starting rehab stint Tuesday
Lowe (oblique) will start his rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Durham, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reported Friday.

Advice: Lowe has been sidelined since April 7 with a strained right oblique but will get back into game action Tuesday. Until he rejoins the big-league club, Amed Rosario and Curtis Mead will continue filling in at second base. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:18 pm

    • Logs three hits, two steals in win
Altuve went 3-for-5 with a run, an RBI and two stolen bases in an 8-2 victory versus Cleveland on Thursday.

Advice: Altuve continued his recent stretch of hot hitting, notching his third multi-hit effort over his past four contests. The veteran second baseman added a pair of thefts Thursday, and he's now swiped six bags over his past 15 games after failing to record a steal across his initial 16 contests of the campaign. Altuve ranks seventh among qualified hitters with a .352 average on the season and is tied for second with 45 hits. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:27 pm

    • Jose Altuve has three hits, two steals in win
Jose Altuve went 3-for-5 with an RBI and also stole two bases on Thursday, leading the Astros to an 8-2 victory over the Guardians.

Advice: Altuve’s latest three-hit performance, which also included a seventh-inning RBI single, boosted his batting average to a stratospheric .352 (45-for-128) mark through 31 games. The 33-year-old veteran also picked up his 299th career stolen base in this one. He’s managed to stay healthy and has been one of the most impactful contributors in the entire fantasy landscape this season. Unreal. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:17 pm
