    • Alec Burleson homers, plates five in blowout win
      Alec Burleson went 3-for-4 with two homers and five RBI on Saturday, leading the Cardinals to a 9-4 blowout victory over the Giants.

      Advice: Burleson also stole a base in this one, just for good measure. It was arguably a career day for the 25-year-old corner outfielder as he notched his first multi-homer performance in the big leagues by taking former teammate Jordan Hicks deep for a three-run shot in the fourth inning before tacking on a two-run blast off reliever Sean Hjelle a couple frames later. He’ll continue to play regularly against right-handed pitching and is quietly emerging as a potential 25-plus homer threat, which is pretty remarkable considering he looked like nothing more than a bench player last year in his full-season debut.       Kelenic went 2-for-5 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI in Friday's win over the Yankees.

      Advice: He extended his hitting streak to eight games with another strong performance. Over 16 games in June, Kelenic is slashing .288/.333/.492 with three doubles, three homers, two steals, seven runs and seven RBI, and the 24-year-old has provided a spark for Atlanta since moving into the leadoff spot.       Ramos went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Cardinals.

      Advice: The outfielder has been on a power surge with four homers over his last seven games, and he's added 11 RBI in that span. Ramos leads the Giants with 10 long balls this season, and every other player on the team with at least five homers has played in a minimum of 50 games compared to his 39.     • Heliot Ramos stays hot with 10th homer in loss
      Heliot Ramos blasted a three-run homer on Thursday in the Giants’ loss to the Cardinals at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama.

      Advice: Ramos put San Francisco on the board with a no-doubter to right field in the third inning off Cardinals starter Andre Pallante for his 10th round-tripper of the season. The 24-year-old post-hype prospect has put together a pretty remarkable breakout campaign so far, batting .307 (46-for-150) with 10 homers, 35 RBI and one steal through 39 games.       Rooker went 2-for-3 with two RBI singles and a walk in a win over the Royals on Wednesday.

      Advice: Rooker's timely hitting led to two of the Athletics' five runs, with the veteran driving home JJ Bleday in the third and seventh innings with his pair of singles. Rooker has now hit safely in eight of his last 10 games, but a 42.9 percent strikeout rate has helped lead to a lackluster .211/.262/.368 slash line in that same span.     • Brenton Doyle brings home winning run vs. Dodgers
      Brenton Doyle went 0-for-3 with two RBI against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

      Advice: Doyle went hitless on Wednesday, but still had two of the Rockies’ biggest at-bats. He brought in the tying run in the seventh inning with a sacrifice fly. With the game still tied in the bottom of the ninth, he brought the winning run in to score with his second sacrifice fly.     • Jarred Kelenic leads off for Braves versus lefty
      Even though the team is facing left-hander Tarik Skubal, Jarred Kelenic remains in the leadoff spot for the Braves on Wednesday.

      Advice: For better or worse, Brian Snitker loves his set lineups. Kelenic has a .231 OBP in just 26 plate appearances versus lefties this season. He’s hit .193/.253/.307 lifetime against lefties, and it’s safe to say he hasn’t faced many as good as Skubal. Still, this rates as good news for Kelenic’s fantasy value, and he’s worth playing in mixed leagues for as long as he remains in the leadoff spot. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:00 am

      Burleson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 9-8 extra-inning loss to the Marlins.

      Advice: The 25-year-old's shot off Roddery Munoz in the fourth inning was the third of three long balls by the Cardinals on the night, but the offense managed only one more run after that. Burleson is up to 10 homers on the season, and five of them have come in June. Despite the power surge, however, he's slashing just .254/.286/.507 in 70 plate appearances this month, and has produced just seven RBI. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 6:30 am

      Doyle went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 11-9 loss to the Dodgers.

      Advice: The homer was Doyle's first since May 15, and it was also his first extra-base hit since June 3. While he hasn't hit for much power, the outfielder has been sharp at the plate and adds speed on the bases.
