      Christopher Morel went 1-for-3, driving in the winning run in the Cubs’ 1-0 win over the Pirates on Saturday.

      Advice: The Cubs and Pirates were scoreless going into the bottom of the ninth in what turned out to be a pitcher’s duel. Cody Bellinger reached scoring position with a one-out double off David Bednar. Morel followed with a base hit to walk it off, bringing Bellinger home for the winning run.       Ian Happ went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Pirates on Thursday.



      Advice: The homer was just Happ’s second of the year. It has undeniably been a down year for the 29-year-old outfielder. His power has cratered as his ISO is just .100 compared to his career .198 ISO. Most of Happ’s utility comes from playing everyday. He’s played 158 games in each of the last two seasons. Last season was his best year as he was able to compile 21 home runs, 86 runs scored, 84 RBI, and 14 stolen bases. He won’t be able to reach those numbers this season, but his $20 million average annual value should still keep him in the lineup everyday.

      Springer went 1-for-4 with a walk, a double, a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's loss to the Orioles.

      Advice: Back in the leadoff spot, Springer reached base multiple times for the first time in 12 games, something he last accomplished April 26. It's been a tough season so far for the veteran outfielder, and through 166 plate appearances Springer is slashing a sluggish .201/.277/.295 with three homers, seven steals, six RBI and 14 runs.       Advice: Cabrera has been the Yankees' preferred option at third base all season, but he's started to cede more work of late to Jon Berti, who will occupy the hot corner for the fourth time in six games Thursday.
