• On base four times in rout
Alonso went 3-for-5 with a walk, a run scored and two RBI in Monday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: The first baseman kept the line moving for the Mets in a 14-2 rout. Alonso still isn't supplying his usual power, but he's picked up the pace a bit in June, slashing .259/.348/.483 through 14 games with four doubles, three homers, nine runs and 12 RBI. • Taking seat Monday
Flores is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: Flores had started at first base in each of the Giants' last five games, with three starts coming versus lefties and two coming versus right-handers. Though the Giants seem content to deploy Flores as their primary first baseman rather than a platoon bat while LaMonte Wade (hamstring) is on the injured list, Flores will nonetheless give way to rookie Trenton Brooks on Monday. • Productive in Sunday's win
Raley went 1-for-3 with an RBI double, a walk and a run in a win over the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: Raley's fourth-inning two-bagger plated Mitch Haniger with the first run of the afternoon and snapped a brief 0-for-7 skid that had encompassed Raley's three previous games. Despite Sunday's production, the offseason addition has tailed off at the plate after a hot start to June, posting a .182 average and .562 OPS with a massive 42.9 percent strikeout rate in his last 12 games. • Goes yard again
Locklear went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's 5-0 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Locklear has safely reached base in five consecutive games and has generated a hit in six of his eight big-league contests. The 23-year-old chipped in a solo home run off Jose Leclerc in the seventh inning, marking Locklear's second homer since being called up June 8. Locklear has started in all but one of Seattle's games since his promotion, filling in at first base for Ty France (heel), who's expected to return from the IL as soon as Tuesday. • Tyler Locklear hits second homer versus Rangers
Tyler Locklear hit his second MLB homer Sunday off the Rangers’ José LeClerc.

Advice: Ty France’s return is just around the corner, but Locklear is making a case to stick around afterwards as a platoon DH, even if his 12/1 K/BB in 29 plate appearances is hideous. After all, he’s now tied for third on the Mariners with his two homers. Not truly, but you believed it for a second, didn’t you? Rotoworld Sunday, 4:22 pm
  • Homers, drives in five
Alonso went 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBI in Sunday's 11-6 win over the Padres.

Advice: With two men on in the first inning, Alonso took Dylan Cease deep for this 15th homer this season. He later added a two-run single as part of a four-run eighth to give him a season-high five RBI for the game. This one had to feel good for Alonso, as he broke out of a small slump where he had only five hits and one RBI over his last eight games. The 29-year-old's 15 home runs are tied for fifth most in the National League. He'll carry a .232/.310/.461 slash line into their next series vs the Rangers. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:38 pm

  • Pete Alonso paces Mets with five RBI
Pete Alonso went 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBI in the Mets’ 11-6 win over the Padres on Sunday.

Advice: Alonso needed a game like this after a rough few weeks. The five RBI matched his total for the entire month of June entering play Sunday and ninth time in his career he’s driven in at least five runs in a single game. The Mets seem to finally be comfortable with their new lineup configuration with Alonso hitting clean-up behind Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo, and J.D. Martinez so there will likely be many more opportunities for him to drive in runs. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:15 pm

  • Ty France (heel) to take BP before Sunday’s game
Ty France (heel) ran the bases before Sunday’s game against the Rangers.

Advice: France will also take part in batting practice prior to the game. The 29-year-old has been on the shelf since last Sunday with a fracture in his right heel. The infielder has a chance to return in the next few days if he continues to make progress, and likely won’t need a rehab assignment. Rotoworld Sunday, 11:17 am

  • First career steal in loss
Locklear went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in a loss to the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: The rookie was able to reach safely for the fourth consecutive game despite not getting a hit for the first time in that span, and he parlayed his one trip on the basepaths into his first career big-league steal. Locklear is still having trouble making consistent contact as he acclimates to major-league arms -- he's struck out at a massive 40.0 percent clip in his first 25 plate appearances -- but his impressive body of work at the plate over multiple levels of the minors suggests he has the ability to progressively turn things around in that department.
