Following his latest throwing session, Pivetta will meet with team doctors and the front office to figure out his next steps, which could include a rehab assignment in the coming week.     Advice: It’s a bit surprising to see Vientos back with the Mets with veteran slugger J.D. Martinez finally healthy and occupying the designated hitter slot until further notice. The 24-year-old slugger batted .302 (26-for-86) with five homers and 22 RBI across 23 games for Triple-A Syracuse after failing to make New York’s season-opening roster.
