    • Fades late in Tuesday's win
      Keller (9-4) picked up the win in Tuesday's 9-5 victory over the Reds, giving up four runs (three runs) on six hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: An Oneil Cruz error and a hit by pitch helped load the bases in the third inning, but Keller escaped the jam by striking out Jeimer Candelario and Spencer Steer. The right-hander seemed to run out of gas after that, eventually getting tagged for three runs in the fifth and one more in the sixth as he fell short of his 10th quality start of the season. Keller has still allowed more than three earned runs only once in nine outings since the beginning of May, going 7-1 over that stretch with a 1.85 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 52:12 K:BB through 58.1 innings.       Advice: Allen surrendered at least one run in each inning he pitched, including three total home runs. He allowed back-to-back homers to open the fourth frame before being pulled at just 60 pitches. Allen had been off to a solid start in June, yielding six earned runs over 17 innings entering Tuesday, but this is now the third time this season he has been responsible for six or more earned runs in an outing.       Mitch Keller allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits in 5 2/3 innings in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

      Advice: Keller struck out six and walked three on the day; however, he got just eight whiffs on 48 swings for a 17 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW. Keller’s command was good in this one, which led to 22 called strikes and helped him get through without the most dynamic stuff. He’ll look for a smoother ride against the Cardinals next time out.       Gibson and the Cardinals won't face Atlanta on Tuesday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Tuesday's game will be made up via a doubleheader Wednesday, and Gibson will take the mound for Game 1.       Logan Allen was torched for six runs over three innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Orioles.

      Advice: Allen was obliterated for nine hits, including three homers, and lasted just three frames in a back-and-forth slugfest at Camden Yards.       Tuesday’s game between the Braves and Cardinals was postponed due to inclement weather.

      Advice: This one went into a preemptive rain delay prior to first pitch at Busch Stadium and it actually wound up staying pretty dry for a few hours before heavier showers rolled into the area. Odds are they probably could’ve gotten this one in if they had started on time. Instead, it’ll be made up on Wednesday as a doubleheader.       Bassitt allowed two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out two during the loss to Boston.

      Advice: Aside from Rafael Devers' two-run shot in the fourth inning, Bassitt had little trouble during the quality start. Bassitt was in line for the win before Toronto's bullpen was tagged with five runs. After producing a 5.03 over his first nine starts, he owns a strong 1.67 ERA over his last seven outings.       Chris Bassitt allowed two runs in seven innings and got a no-decision against the Red Sox on Monday.



      Advice: Bassitt gave up five hits, walked one and struck out two. He was in line for his seventh win of the season before the Toronto bullpen blew a four-run lead in the eighth inning. Bassitt allowed a two-run home run to Rafael Devers, but was otherwise very successful keeping the Boston offense at bay. He’s completed at least seven innings in two of his last four starts and completed at least six innings in three of his last four starts. Bassitt’s ERA is now 3.45 on the season. The 35-year-old right-hander is set to face the Yankees at home this weekend.

      Advice: After coming off the bereavement list Wednesday, Gibson had been scheduled to start the Cardinals' series finale versus the Marlins later in the day, but he ended up being scratched shortly before opening pitch due to his back tightening up on him while he was going through his pregame routine. Matthew Liberatore was called upon for a spot start Wednesday in his stead, but Gibson looks like he'll be ready to go for his next turn through the Cardinals rotation.
