      Williams came away with a no-decision in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the White Sox, giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out two.

      Advice: The right-hander tossed 48 of 81 pitches for strikes and got burned by some shaky defense behind him, but the one earned run he allowed came on a solo shot by Eloy Jimenez in the second inning -- the first homer Williams had served up this season. It's been an impressive turnaround in that department for the 32-year-old right-hander as he was taken deep 34 times in 2023, most in the National League.       Megill earned the save Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing a solo home run and no walks with two strikeouts across one inning.

      Advice: Megill entered the contest with two runs of cushion and managed to secure his fifth save of the campaign despite allowing a solo homer to Connor Joe with two outs in the ninth.       Ryan Helsley recorded his 13th save with a scoreless ninth against the Angels on Tuesday.

      Advice: Helsley pitched a whole lot during April, but it definitely hasn’t caused any problems yet; he’s posted his best velocity numbers of the year his last two times out, averaging 101.0 mph with his fastball on Sunday and 100.7 mph tonight. He’s gone 14 straight appearances without allowing an earned run and the one unearned run he’s given up during the stretch was an automatic runner in the 10th inning.       Helsley allowed a hit and struck out two without walking a batter in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

      Advice: Helsley has a win and six saves during his nine-inning scoreless streak, a span that's seen him allowed six hits and one walk while striking out 11. The right-hander is 13-for-14 in save chances this season with a 1.35 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 23:2 K:BB over 20 innings. Helsley seems to be benefiting from being the stand-alone closer as opposed to part of a committee.       McArthur allowed a run on two hits and struck out three without walking a batter over 1.1 innings to earn the save in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Mariners.

      Advice: McArthur gave up a solo home run to Mitch Haniger in the ninth inning, but he was able to avoid any further damage. The right-hander has surrendered seven runs (six earned) over his last five appearances, and he's been tagged for four homers in that span. He's managed to convert saves in each of his last two outings despite the long balls. McArthur is 10-for-13 in save chances this year while adding a 4.58 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 21:3 K:BB through 19.2 innings.       Trevor Megill allowed one earned run over one inning while earning the save on Tuesday against the Pirates.

      Advice: A Connor Joe home run in the ninth was the lone earned run Megill would give up in this one. The fourth-year vet also struck out two batters in this one and now has five saves on the season. The home run to Joe was the first homer Megill has allowed on the season, and he’s given up just two earned runs over 10 2/3 innings pitched.       Phillips (hamstring) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Phillips has been on the injured list with a strained right hamstring since May 5, and he resumed playing catch Friday.       Advice: It’s the first time throwing off a mound for Phillips since hitting the injured list back in early May with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain.
