    • Serves up first homer
Williams came away with a no-decision in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the White Sox, giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out two.

Advice: The right-hander tossed 48 of 81 pitches for strikes and got burned by some shaky defense behind him, but the one earned run he allowed came on a solo shot by Eloy Jimenez in the second inning -- the first homer Williams had served up this season. It's been an impressive turnaround in that department for the 32-year-old right-hander after he was taken deep 34 times in 2023, most in the National League. Williams will take a 1.94 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB through 41.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up for this weekend in Philadelphia. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:58 pm
    • Trevor Williams finally allows homer on Tuesday
Trevor Williams was charged with three runs (one earned) over five innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the White Sox.

Advice: Williams went 37 2/3 innings over seven starts to open the season before finally coughing up a homer when White Sox slugger Eloy Jiménez took him deep into the second inning. The 32-year-old righty hasn’t generated enough strikeouts to make a significant impact for fantasy managers, but he’s been a nice back-end rotation stabilizer in deeper mixed leagues. He’ll bring a sparkling 1.94 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 32/13 K/BB ratio across 41 2/3 innings (eight starts) into a road matchup on Sunday against the Phillies at hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park. • Nationals-White Sox postponed
Williams and the Nationals won't play Monday against the White Sox after the game was postponed due to inclement weather in Chicago, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Tuesday. Williams' next start will simply be pushed back a day to one half of the twin bill, and the White Sox will do the same with their scheduled starter for Monday, Chris Flexen. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:45 pm
    • White Sox-Nationals PPD, doubleheader Tuesday
Monday’s game between the White Sox and Nationals has been postponed due to rain and will be made up as part of a doubleheader Tuesday.

Advice: It’ll be a straight doubleheader, with the first game beginning at 3:40 p.m. CDT. The teams will use tonight’s previously scheduled starters, Chris Flexen and Trevor Williams, in Game 1 and go with Tuesday’s scheduled starters, Erick Fedde and Mitchell Parker, in Game 2. • Silences Dodgers over seven frames
Darvish (3-1) earned the win over the Dodgers on Sunday after firing seven shutout innings and allowing just two hits and a walk. He struck out seven.

Advice: Darvish extended his scoreless innings streak to 17 innings in another dominant outing since returning from the injured list April 30. He retired the first 14 hitters he faced in order until walking Andy Pages with two outs in the fifth. Darvish generated an excellent 19 whiffs and tied his season high with seven strikeouts. The 37-year-old owns a 2.43 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 37:12 K:BB in 40.2 innings and lines up for another tough task against Atlanta his next time out. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:32 pm

    • Yu Darvish fires seven scoreless to beat Dodgers
Yu Darvish was magnificent in Sunday afternoon’s victory over the Dodgers, piling up seven strikeouts across seven innings of shutout baseball.

Advice: The 37-year-old right-hander allowed just two hits and one walk on the day. He retired the first 14 hitters that he faced in order until he walked Andy Pages with two outs in the fifth inning. He then allowed a single to Enrique Hernandez, but got Miguel Rojas to line out to end the threat. Darvish generated 19 swings and misses on 101 pitches in the ballgame — one or more on eight different offerings — while posting an elite CSW of 36 percent. He has yet to allow a run over 17 innings since returning from the injured list and now boasts a 2.43 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and a 37/12 K/BB ratio over 40 2/3 innings on the year. He draws a tough assignment next time out though, having to take on the Braves in Atlanta on Saturday. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:36 pm

    • Electric versus Blue Jays
Ober (4-1) earned the win after he pitched 6.1 scoreless innings, allowing one hit while striking out 10 batters in Sunday's 5-1 victory over Toronto.

Advice: Ober was nearly perfect Sunday, allowing just a single to Vladimir Guerrero in the bottom of the fourth inning, while his 10 punchouts were a season high. The right-hander has now recorded four quality starts over eight outings this season. Since allowing eight runs against the Royals in his season debut, Ober has produced a 2.16 ERA with 44 strikeouts over 41.2 innings in his last seven starts. He'll look to keep it going when he returns to the mound for his next projected start Saturday in Cleveland. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:16 pm

    • Bailey Ober strikes out 10 in gem versus Jays
Bailey Ober pitched one-hit ball for 6 1/3 scoreless innings and struck out 10 as the Twins defeated the Blue Jays 5-1 on Sunday.

Advice: It’s his second career 10-strikeout game, with the other coming against the White Sox in Sept. 2022. Ober opened this season with the very worst outing of his career, but since that eight-run barrage, he has a 2.16 ERA and a 44/7 K/BB ratio in 41 2/3 innings. He’s not quite this good, but he should remain an excellent fantasy starter going forward. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:30 pm

    • Fires seven hitless frames
Fried (3-1) earned the win over the Mets on Saturday, allowing three walks while striking out five batters over seven scoreless and hitless innings.

Advice: Fried threw 109 pitches during his seven frames, so manager Brian Snitker didn't allow him to push any further for an individual no-hitter. Atlanta's bullpen carried the no-no into the ninth inning before J.D. Martinez ended the combined bid with a two-out solo homer off Raisel Iglesias. Though he didn't etch his name in the record books, Fried bounced back very nicely after giving up four runs over seven frames and picking up his first loss in his previous outing. He's now notched four quality starts on the campaign. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:28 pm
