    • Decent in no-decision
Cortes allowed two runs on five hits and struck out four without walking a batter over 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Tuesday.

Advice: Cortes allowed multiple runs for the first time in three starts, but it was still a passable outing for the southpaw. He allowed a total of nine runs (eight earned) over 29 innings across five starts in May while adding a 30:8 K:BB in that span. Cortes is at a 3.30 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 67:15 K:BB through 71 innings over 12 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road in San Francisco. • Nestor Cortes holds Angels to two runs over 5 1/3
Nestor Cortes was uninvolved in the decision Tuesday after allowing two runs in 5 1/3 innings against the Angels.

Advice: The key for Cortes this season is simply to allow zero earned runs. He’s 3-0 when that happens and 0-4 the rest of the time. It’s something he’ll just have to work on prior to his start against the Giants on Sunday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:28 pm

    • Jordan Westburg has two hits, two RBI in loss
Jordan Westburg went 2-for-3 with two singles and two RBI in a loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Westburg drove both runs in on a 103.7 mph single in the first inning. He now has 34 RBI to go along with a .291/.351/.508 slash line. While the 25-year-old has cooled down a bit from his torrid start to the season and is pulling the ball far less than he was in April, he continues to produce, hitting .278 with three home runs in 24 games in May. He’s proven himself as a fixture in this lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:38 pm

    • Diagnosed with Grade 2 strain
Wade was diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: The Giants placed Wade on the injured list earlier Tuesday, but the team expects him to be sidelined for roughly a month now that the severity of his strain has been revealed. In the meantime, Wilmer Flores and Trenton Brooks will likely split time at first base, though neither player is likely to replace Wade's .333/.470/.426 slash line. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:51 pm

    • Tuesday's game postponed
Skubal won't start as scheduled Tuesday against the Pirates since the game has been postponed due to inclement weather, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The contest will be made up via a straight doubleheader Wednesday. The Tigers haven't officially announced their updated pitching plans, but Skubal should start one of those contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:12 pm

    • Pirates vs. Tigers postponed Tuesday due to rain
Tuesday’s game between the Pirates and Tigers has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Advice: It’s fitting that only Mother Nature herself could prevent fantasy managers from watching a highly-anticipated pitcher’s duel on Tuesday evening between Detroit ace Tarik Skubal and Pirates electrifying rookie Jared Jones. It’ll be made up as a doubleheader on Wednesday instead with Skubal and Jones squaring off in the opening contest of the twin bill. It’ll be dynamic top prospect Paul Skenes taking the ball in the nightcap affair. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:06 pm

    • Lands on injured list
Wade (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: The 30-year-old returned to the lineup Monday against the Phillies after he suffered the hamstring injury over the weekend, but he aggravated the issue and will miss at least the next week and a half. Wade has been one of the more surprisingly productive players in MLB through the first two months of the season with a .333/.470/.426 slash line through 52 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:04 pm

    • LaMonte Wade Jr. (hamstring) hits IL on Tuesday
Giants placed 1B/OF LaMonte Wade Jr. on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: Wade has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain and is expected to miss roughly four weeks after suffering the ailment during Monday’s contest against the Phillies. The 30-year-old on-base machine, who leads the majors with a .470 on-base percentage this season, hurt his hamstring initially last Friday while stretching to grab Matt Chapman’s game-saving throw against the Mets. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect him back until sometime in late June. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:02 pm

    • Cora: Tyler O’Neill to undergo imaging on knee
Red Sox manager Alex Cora told reporters Tuesday that Tyler O’Neill will undergo additional testing on his right knee.

Advice: O’Neill has been sent back to Boston to undergo additional imaging for precautionary reason to rule out anything significant. The 28-year-old slugger has missed three straight contests due to right knee soreness, but it sounds like he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list. There’s a chance he’s back in Boston’s lineup when they return to Fenway Park for Thursday’s series opener against the Tigers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:46 pm
