    • Alex Verdugo homers in win over Angels
Alex Verdugo went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in the Yankees’ 2-1 win over the Angels on Wednesday.

Advice: Despite the Yankees putting five men on base through three frames, they didn’t bring a run in to score until Verdugo’s solo blast off Tyler Anderson to lead off the fourth inning. It was one of only two runs the team would score in Wednesday’s victory. The 28-year-old outfielder is hitting .260/.321/.439 with eight homers and 29 RBI across 221 plate appearances. • Steals first base of 2024
Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 10-6 loss to the Brewers. He also stole a base.

Advice: The stolen base was notable because it's the first of the season for Bellinger, though he did miss some time with a fractured ribcage, which could have cut into his running. He had a career-high 20 steals last year as he reached the 20-20 plateau for the first time in seven MLB campaigns. Bellinger hasn't been quite as effective so far in 2024, though he's batting a solid .262 with a .774 OPS, and the 28-year-old has the talent to start racking up the counting stats in a hurry. • Matt Olson doubles twice in loss
Matt Olson went 2-for-4 with two doubles as the Braves lost to the Nationals on Wednesday.

Advice: The Braves were largely held in check by MacKenzie Gore and the Nationals’ bullpen in this one as their lineup tries to acclimate to a new normal with Ronald Acuña Jr. Olson has had a solid month of May slashing .277/.333/.489 with five home runs and 14 RBI after a slow April Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:35 pm

    • Gunnar Henderson’s grand slam powers Orioles
Gunnar Henderson blasted a grand slam on Wednesday, powering the Orioles to a 6-1 victory over the visiting Red Sox.

Advice: The 22-year-old superstar changed the entire complexion of the ballgame in the second inning as he crushed a 1-0 cutter from Kutter Crawford for a 422-foot (109.2 mph EV) grand slam that gave the Orioles a 5-1 lead. It would be his only hit in four at-bats on the night, but was more than enough to propel his team to victory. Henderson is playing like he has his sights set on the American League MVP award this season — slashing .258/.354/.584 with 18 homers and 41 RBI. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:18 pm

    • Wyatt Langford delivers RBI single in victory
Wyatt Langford went 2-for-4 with an RBI single on Wednesday in the Rangers’ win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Welcome back, Wyatt. After going 0-for-3 on Tuesday in his return from the injured list following a three-week absence recovering from a hamstring strain, Langford extended the Rangers’ late lead with an eighth-inning RBI single to left field to pick up his 12th RBI of the season. The 22-year-old top prospect represents an excellent buy-low target for fantasy managers in re-draft formats given his immense raw talent and everyday opportunity as part of Texas’ loaded lineup. • Resumes swinging bat
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday that Jung (wrist) "looks great" after resuming hitting, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Jung was cleared to hit Tuesday following a visit with the doctor that performed the surgery on his right wrist in early April. He hit for a second straight day Wednesday while using a lighter bat, with Bochy saying afterward that "you'd think he was going to be ready in a couple of days" based on how he looked. Jung is not going to be ready to return soon, of course, but this is an encouraging progress report. A clearer timetable for the third baseman could be established in the coming days. • Three RBI in Tuesday's win
Profar went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and three RBI in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Profar was the main source of offense for the Padres in this one. He got his night started on the right foot with a two-run blast to center in the first inning and then added on with an RBI single in the fifth. Tuesday was his fifth game this season with three or more RBI, and he remains top five in baseball in both batting average (.323) and on-base percentage (.419). Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:12 am
    • Starts at DH in return
Langford served as the designated hitter and went 0-for-3 in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Arizona.

Advice: Langford was activated from the 10-day injured list and played for the first time since May 4. His activation to the roster came at the expense of left fielder Evan Carter (back), who went on the IL, but Langford was eased in as the DH while Travis Jankowski handled left field. • Bryson Stott goes hitless against Giants
Bryson Stott, who didn’t start Monday, went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: Stott has run extremely hot and cold this season, posting a .559 OPS over his first 25 games and a 1.242 OPS over his subsequent 18 games. Now he’s back in another drought, having gone 2-for-28 in his last eight games. The good news is that he’s struck out just three times during that span. He still projects as a useful MI in mixed leagues going forward. Rotoworld Tuesday, 11:39 pm
