    • Lowers ERA to 1.37
Suarez (8-0) earned the win over the Mets on Wednesday, allowing two unearned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three batters over five innings.

Advice: Suarez allowed a run in each of the first and third frames, but neither run was earned. The left-hander thus lowered his season ERA to 1.37, third-best in the majors among qualified starters. Suarez also leads the league with eight victories and a 0.76 WHIP, and he has yet to take a loss. He's among the early contenders for Cy Young consideration in the National League and has been one of fantasy's most impactful sleepers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:56 pm
    • Ranger Suárez earns win vs. Mets
Ranger Suárez fought for the win in what was his worst start in weeks. He lasted five innings, walked two, and struck out three in a win over the Mets Wednesday night. Both runs he allowed were unearned.

Advice: This felt more like the Ranger Suárez of old, nibbling around the zone and unable to put many away. He was able to work out of trouble effectively as the Mets had men on base in four out of five innings and could not start a rally. Suárez’s step forward this season should still be seen as legitimate, but keep an eye on his command as he fell behind 1-0 to 16 of the 33 hitters he faced. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:53 pm
    • Snaps homer drought
Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Walker led off the second inning with his eighth homer of the season and first in 13 games. He entered the contest on a 1-for-16 run and is batting .217 for the month. The recent slump dropped his average to .264, but Walker still leads the team with 28 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:47 pm
    • Christian Walker swats solo homer in D-backs’ win
Christian Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Wednesday, leading the Diamondbacks to a 2-1 victory over the Reds.

Advice: Walker crushed a no-doubter to left field off Reds starter Andrew Abbott in the second inning for his eighth round-tripper of the season. It was the first time he’s gone deep since a two-homer outburst back on April 30. The rock-steady 33-year-old veteran first baseman is batting .264/.372/.447 with 30 runs scored, eight homers, 28 RBI and one steal through 44 contests. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:07 pm
    • Stuck with blown save
Romano (1-1) took a loss and a blown save in Wednesday's 3-2 defeat to the Orioles, allowing two runs on two hits without recording an out in the ninth inning.

Advice: Called upon to protect a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the ninth, Romano gave up an infield single to Jordan Westburg leading off the frame before Adley Rutschman launched a two-run, walk-off homer. It's the first blown save of the year for Romano -- he'd been 6-for-6 in save chances prior to Wednesday. The 31-year-old right-hander sports a 5.06 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB through his first 10.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:57 pm
    • Jordan Romano gives up walkoff homer to Orioles
Jordan Romano took his first blown save and loss after giving up a two-run homer to the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Romano has been somewhat shaky since returning from elbow inflammation, but that he gave up a 347-foot homer to Adley Rutschman today doesn’t mean a whole lot. He should still be safe in the closer’s role, even if the Blue Jays presumably have more faith in Yimi García at the moment. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:14 pm
    • Bryan De La Cruz goes deep, Marlins edge Tigers
Bryan De La Cruz launched a two-run homer on Wednesday, leading the Marlins to a 2-0 victory over the Tigers.

Advice: De La Cruz supplied the lone runs for either side in a low-scoring Wednesday afternoon matinee at Comerica Park courtesy of a gargantuan 422-foot blast to left-center field off Tigers starter Casey Mize in the opening frame. It was his lone hit in four at-bats and his ninth round-tripper of the season. The 27-year-old corner outfielder has put together a nice breakthrough campaign so far for the struggling Marlins, batting .256 (46-for-180) with 25 runs scored, nine homers, 24 RBI and one steal through 45 contests. • Maikel Garcia getting a night off on Wednesday
Maikel Garcia is absent from the Royals’ starting lineup for Wednesday evening’s matchup against the Mariners.

Advice: The 24-year-old infielder has been scuffling a bit at the plate as of late, so perhaps a day off to clear his head will do him some good. On the season, he’s slashing .239/.288/.369 with four homers, 25 RBI and 10 stolen bases through his first 43 games. Adam Frazier will start at the hot corner and hit leadoff against Bryan Woo and the Mariners on Wednesday night in Seattle. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:00 pm
    • Elias Díaz (hand) remains out of Rockies’ lilneup
Elias Díaz (hand) was held out of the Rockies’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s showdown against the Padres.

Advice: The 33-year-old backstop was pulled from Tuesday’s contest due to left hand soreness and it sounds like it’s still bothering him on Wednesday so he’ll get another breather. Jacob Stallings will start in his place on Wednesday and will bat seventh against Michael King and the Padres. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:00 pm
