    • IL decision likely imminent
Polanco (hamstring), who was out of the lineup for a fifth straight game Sunday, did some explosive running drills before Sunday's series finale against the Orioles but could still be placed on the injured list in coming days, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Despite Polanco upping his activity level Sunday, manager Scott Servais confirmed the veteran infielder is still not moving around at full speed. As such, the Mariners could make a decision on whether to place Polanco on the IL as early as Monday when the team opens a four-game series against the Yankees. Servais conceded Sunday that Polanco was feeling better and has progressed to swinging a bat without discomfort, but given the lingering nature of hamstring injuries, an IL stint might still be necessary to ensure a full recovery. • Impressive in return to closer role
Kimbrel pitched a clean ninth inning, striking out two to pick up a save Sunday against the Mariners.

Advice: It appears Kimbrel has found his groove again, and he was rewarded with a save opportunity while posting his fourth consecutive appearance without allowing a hit or a walk. It was the first save since May 3 for Kimbrel, who had posted a 16.20 ERA and 4.50 WHIP over 3.1 innings in the six outings prior to this most recent four-game stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 9:15 pm
    • Picks up fourth steal
Reynolds went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Reynolds has swiped two bags over his last three games, and he's hit safely in five straight contests (6-for-21). The outfielder isn't one to run a lot -- he had a career-high 12 steals in 145 games last season, so he's roughly on track to match that number in 2024 after picking up his fourth theft of the campaign Sunday. Reynolds has added a .254/.341/.407 slash line with five home runs, 20 RBI, 18 runs scored, 12 doubles and a triple through 48 contests overall. Rotowire.com Today, 8:27 pm

    • Earns fifth win
Keller (5-3) allowed two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings to earn the win Sunday over the Cubs.

Advice: It wasn't as dominant an outing as his six scoreless innings versus the Brewers on Monday, but it was still Keller's third straight quality start. He's allowed three runs over 21 innings across three starts in May. The strong pitching has him down to a 3.84 ERA with a 1.28 WHIP and 54:19 K:BB through 61 innings over 10 starts this season. Keller is projected for a tough home start versus Atlanta in his next outing. Rotowire.com Today, 8:18 pm

    • Paul Sewald closes out Tigers on Sunday afternoon
Paul Sewald slammed the door on the Tigers on Sunday afternoon, working a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a two-run advantage.

Advice: The 33-year-old hurler picked up his third save of the season for his efforts. He made it look awfully easy in this one, needing just 10 pitches (nine strikes) to get Wenceel Perez on a fly ball, Spencer Torkelson on strikes and Javier Baez on a pop out to second base to end it. On the season, Sewald now holds a 1.80 ERA, 0.60 WHIP and a 5/1 K/BB ratio across his first five innings of work. Rotoworld Today, 4:18 pm
    • Hunter Greene looks good against LAD
Hunter Greene allowed two runs on four hits in 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: Greene struck out eight and walked just two on the day. He also posted a 35 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW as the four-seam fastball carved up the Dodgers on Sunday. Greene also allowed just one extra-base hit, but it happened to be a home run to Andy Pages. All of that pre-season talk of Greene adding another pitch was much ado about nothing, as Greene threw just eight splitters on the day and earned one whiff, but his slider command has improved and Greene has a 3.22 ERA on the season heading into a rematch against these Dodgers next week. • Mitch Keller posts quality start in win over Cubs
Mitch Keller posted a quality start in Sunday’s victory over the Cubs, allowing two runs on just two hits over six frames.

Advice: The right-hander walked three and struck out three batters on the afternoon. All of the damage one against him came on sacrifice flies — one by Seiya Suzuki in the third inning and another off the bat of Christopher Morel in the sixth. Keller got 10 swings and misses on 83 pitches on the afternoon — seven of those on his heater — while registering a CSW of 30 percent. Now 5-3 on the season, he’ll tote a 3.84 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and a 54/19 K/BB ratio (61 innings) into Saturday’s tough matchup against the Braves. Rotoworld Today, 2:07 pm

    • Craig Kimbrel perfect in return to closer’s role
Getting a chance to close for the first time since May 8, Craig Kimbrel struck out two in a perfect ninth Sunday against the Mariners.

Advice: This was truly easing him back into the closer’s role; not only did he have a three-run lead, but he was getting the bottom third of the Mariners lineup. Kimbrel has allowed just one batter to reach in four scoreless innings since his May 8 outing knocked him out of the closer’s role for a spell. He’ll likely be the primary guy for now, though it’d be best if he could go a couple of more weeks without any miscues. Rotoworld Today, 1:54 pm
    • Cedric Mullins knocks in two, steals base in win
Cedric Mullins went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a steal against the Mariners on Sunday.

Advice: Mullins snapped a hitless skid with a bunt single Saturday and today had two clean singles, both of which knocked in runs. He’s still batting just .194/.241/.351, but this seems like progress, and he has a nice schedule coming up against the Cardinals and White Sox this week. Rotoworld Today, 1:54 pm
