    • Ozzie Albies has two hits in win over Guardians
Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a win over the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Albies’ double was a well-hit 321-foot shot at 96 mph off the bat, and it’s good to see him making authoritative contact so soon since being activated off the IL. He now has a .329/.393/.513 slash line and should be back to being locked into all lineups. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:03 pm
    • Two hits in return
Albies went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in Friday's 6-2 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Making his return from a toe injury that cost him eight games, Albies demonstrated quickly that he was fully healthy, ripping a double and scoring in the fifth inning before adding an RBI single in the sixth. The 27-year-old second baseman has a nine-game hitting streak going, sandwiched around the injury absence, and on the season he's slashing .328/.392/.507 with two homers, two steals, 15 runs and 15 RBI. • Braves activate Ozzie Albies for Friday return
Braves activated 2B Ozzie Albies from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Albies returns to the active roster following a stay on the injured list with a fractured right toe. It’s amazing that the 27-year-old needed just the minimum 10 days on the injured list before making his return with the injury he had. On top of that, he was doing fielding drills this past weekend to get ramped up for live action. He’ll be a boost for the Braves’ offense and for fantasy managers as he’s on pace for a career season with a .317/.386/.492 batting line in his first 15 games. Rotoworld Friday, 6:37 am
    • Activated from injured list
Atlanta activated Albies (toe) from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Advice: Albies missed just the minimum 10 days with a fractured right big toe and will not require a rehab assignment before rejoining his teammates for a weekend series against the Guardians. The 27-year-old has put together a .317/.386/.492 slash line with two home runs and two stolen bases through his first 15 contests this season. Rotowire.com Friday, 6:15 am
    • Contributes stolen base Wednesday
Polanco went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in a loss to the Rangers on Wednesday.

Advice: Polanco's struggles at the plate continued for the most part, with his average now sitting at a paltry .175 through 99 plate appearances. However, the veteran also sports a surprisingly solid .333 on-base percentage that's largely the result of his 18.9 percent walk rate. The free pass he drew Wednesday also led to his first stolen base of the campaign, and the combination of Polanco's career-low .234 BABIP and above-average 24.0 percent line-drive rate seems to imply his luck when putting the ball in play should start to turn soon. • Run bases Wednesday
Albies (toe) took part in baserunning as part of a workout prior to Atlanta's game against the Marlins on Wednesday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Albies continues to trend in a positive direction in his recovery from a fractured right big toe, which he sustained April 16. The second baseman had already participated in fielding drills and resumed swinging a bat in recent days, and being able to run the bases is another sign that he's no longer inhibited by the injury. Albies is first eligible for activation from the 10-day injured list Friday, and he appears on track to play this weekend versus the Guardians if he avoids any setbacks coming out of Wednesday's workout. • Could return as soon as Friday
Albies (toe) has begun swinging a bat and could return from the 10-day injured list when first eligible Friday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: If he's not quite ready to go Friday, his return would likely come soon after. Albies suffered a fractured right great toe when he was hit by a pitch a week ago, but he actually stayed in to finish that game and has made a rapid recovery. Luis Guillorme and David Fletcher have been handling second base for Atlanta in Albies' absence. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:37 pm
    • Ozzie Albies (toe) could return Friday from IL
Ozzie Albies (toe) has been cleared to resume hitting Monday.

Advice: Albies is eligible to return from the injured list Friday after being placed on the shelf April 16, and it sounds like that might happen. Whether it does of course will depend on how he responds over the coming days, but the fact he’s been cleared to hit after resuming throwing drills Sunday is clearly a positive development. • Ozzie Albies (toe) cleared to do fielding frills
Ozzie Albies (toe) has been cleared to begin doing fielding drills as he continues his recovery from a fractured right big toe.

Advice: There’s still no clear timetable for exactly when the Braves expect Albies back, but the fact that he’s already progressing in his rehab is obviously encouraging. He has yet to do any running and still hasn’t been cleared to do so, though that will be the final hurdle in his recovery. Rotoworld Apr 21, 3:59 pm
