Bellinger extended his hitting streak to nine games in this one, and continues to look hot after getting off to a slow start through the first two weeks of the season.       Cubs activated 1B/OF Cody Bellinger from the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: Bellinger will make his return to Chicago’s lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Padres following a two-week absence due to a rib fracture. The 28-year-old slugger was off to a bit of a slow start at the dish this season, batting .226/.320/.440 with five homers and 17 RBI in 97 plate appearances over 22 contests before a collision with the center-field wall back on April 23 resulted in a rib injury.       Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Monday's 6-1 win over San Francisco.

      Advice: Schwarber belted the long ball in the eighth inning off Tyler Rogers, giving the Phillies an additional run of cushion heading into the ninth. Schwarber also reached base in the fifth inning on a single and was driven in on a Bryce Harper homer. Over his last 10 games, Schwarber is 11-for-42 (.262) with 11 runs scored and nine RBI.       Seager went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run Monday in a 4-2 victory against Oakland.

      Advice: Texas was down 2-0 heading into the eighth frame before Seager turned the team's fortunes around with a two-out, three-run blast to center field. It was a much-needed big moment for the star shortstop, as he came into the contest batting just .190 in May and .228 overall on the season. After slugging 33 homers and driving in 96 runs last year, Seager has just three homers and 13 RBI through 33 games in 2024.
