• Willi Castro goes 3-for-5, steals base
Willi Castro went 3-for-5 with a triple, a double and a stolen base Wednesday as the Twins took down the White Sox 10-5.

Advice: Castro has really warmed up, going 16-for-35 with eight RBI in his last eight games. That’s raised his OPS from .538 to 789. He was in line to lose playing time due to Carlos Correa’s return, but the hot streak has changed that, and now that Byron Buxton is down, there’s little doubt that Castro will stay in the lineup for a while. He’s an option for teams in need of steals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:27 pm

  • Held out with back issue
Manager Aaron Boone said Berti (groin) won't play in a scheduled rehab game with Double-A Somerset on Wednesday after his back locked up on him, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: The hope is that it's only a one-day absence for Berti, but that wouldn't seem to be a given. He's played two games with Somerset already as he comes back from a groin strain. Berti had potentially been looking at a return from the 10-day injured list this weekend, but that might be delayed now. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:51 pm

  • Willy Adames hits two homers versus former club
Willy Adames hit a pair of homers to drive in four runs against his former team in a win over the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: Adames has three homers and eight RBI the last two days. It looked like he might bat lower in the order than usual this year, and he did hit fifth against the Mets on Opening Day. However, he’s hit fourth or higher every game since, and he’s now up to 21 RBI in 30 games for the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:49 pm
  • Jon Berti (back) won’t play rehab game Wednesday
Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone told reporters that Jon Berti (groin) won’t play in his scheduled minor league rehab game on Wednesday due to tightness in his back.

Advice: Boone termed it a precautionary measure and said that they were hopeful Berti would be able to return to the lineup on Thursday. He’s probably going to need a couple more games before he’s ready to rejoin the Yankees, but if all goes well we could see him in Pinstripes at some point next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:46 pm

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Wednesday that he's hopeful that Grissom (hamstring/illness) will be ready to return from the 10-day injured list for Friday's game in Minnesota, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: Grissom had been slated for his season and Red Sox debut Tuesday after overcoming a hamstring injury, but he's been delayed due to an illness. Once activated, Grissom is likely to serve as the Red Sox's everyday second baseman. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:32 pm

  • Vaughn Grissom set to join Red Sox on Friday
Red Sox manager Alex Cora told reporters on Wednesday that Vaughn Grissom is expected to be activated from the injured list on Friday.

  • Cranks two more homers
Adames went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four RBI in Wednesday's 7-1 win over the Rays.

Advice: Adames extended the Brewers' lead to 3-0 with a solo shot off Zach Eflin in the sixth inning before breaking the game open with a three-run blast off Erasmo Ramirez in the seventh. Adames now has three homers and eight RBI in his last two contests after going 16 games without a long ball. Overall, the 28-year-old shortstop is slashing .278/.373/.496 with six homers, 21 RBI, 18 runs scored and four steals through 30 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:23 pm
  • Starting at shortstop Wednesday
Brujan will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Brujan had been set to get the day off, but he'll be pressed into the starting nine at shortstop after Tim Anderson (thumb) was scratched from the lineup. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:08 pm

  • Tim Anderson scratched from Wed. lineup
Tim Anderson has been scratched from Wednesday’s lineup due to a mild left thumb sprain.

Advice: Anderson is now out of the Marlins’ lineup in consecutive games after he left Monday’s game with a thumb injury. The team said he’s out today as a precautionary measure, so hopefully the 30-year-old is back in the lineup in the coming days. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:01 pm
