    • Another quality start
Ryan didn't factor into the decision Monday, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk across six innings against the White Sox. He struck out three.

Advice: Although Ryan tallied his lowest strikeout total of the campaign, he cashed in on his fourth quality start of his last five appearances. After yielding a pair of home runs to the White Sox in his last start, Ryan limited the team to just one extra-base hit on the day. He owns a 1.3 BB/9 through 34.2 innings in 2024, another improvement after posting a 2.9 BB/9 in 2022 and a 1.9 BB/9 in 2023. Ryan is tentatively scheduled for a start against the Sox of Boston on Sunday. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago

    • Drives in three runs
Bohm went 1-for-3 with three RBI and a walk in Monday's loss to the Angels.

Advice: Bohm knocked a two-run single in the first inning and added an RBI sacrifice fly in the ninth. He's been an RBI machine this season, racking up 10 over his last six games, giving him 29 on the year. He trails only Atlanta's Marcell Ozuna on the RBI leaderboard. Bohm is slashing .364/.439/.607 with 17 extra-base knocks and a 15:19 BB:K through 30 games. Rotowire.com Today, 9:27 pm

    • Joe Ryan allows two runs Monday in no-decision
Joe Ryan gave up two runs over six innings on Monday in a no-decision against the White Sox.

Advice: Ryan didn’t exactly capitalize on his second straight extremely favorable matchup against Chicago’s struggling lineup, finishing with three strikeouts and only issuing one walk. He finished with only nine swinging strikes and a disastrous 21 percent CSW. The 27-year-old righty has been on a roll, allowing three earned runs or fewer in six consecutive starts to open the 2024 campaign. He’ll carry a strong 3.38 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 41/5 K/BB ratio across 34 2/3 innings (six starts) into a home outing on Sunday against the Red Sox at Target Field. Rotoworld Today, 8:02 pm

    • Productive in big win
Abrams went 1-for-3 with two walks, a two-run home run, a second run scored and a stolen base in Monday's 7-2 win over the Marlins.

Advice: The 23-year-old shortstop was once again the engine of the Nationals' offense from the leadoff spot, as Abrams took Trevor Rogers deep in the third inning then teamed up with Jacob Young for a double steal in the fifth. Abrams has reached base safely in 15 straight games, and on the season he's slashing .297/.377/.634 with seven homers, six stolen bases, 17 RBI and 21 runs in 25 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 7:28 pm

    • CJ Abrams blasts two-run homer in win versus MIA
CJ Abrams went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and two walks in a 7-2 win against the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: The 23-year-old continues to have a solid season slashing .300/.381/.640 with seven home runs and 16 RBI. His two-run home run came in the third inning as Trevor Rogers left a fastball right down the center of the plate and Abrams did not miss. There was a lot of discussion if Abrams’ 2023 season was a bit of beginner’s luck, but the Nats’ shortstop is showing that last season was not a one-off. Rotoworld Today, 6:06 pm

    • Shut down from activity
Gelof (oblique) is currently shut down from baseball activity, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Gelof was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a strained left oblique, but he appears to be on track to miss more than the minimum amount of days. The 24-year-old will likely need to ramp his activity over a series of days before he could ultimately be activated. In the meantime, Max Schuemann will likely continue to handle the lion's share of work at second base with Oakland in Gelof's absence. Rotowire.com Today, 4:41 pm

    • Gelof (oblique) shut down from baseball activities
Zack Gelof (oblique) has been shut down from baseball activities.

Advice: That’s not good. Gelof was placed on the injured list with a left oblique strain Thursday, and it sounds like the 24-year-old won’t be ready to roll when he’s eligible to be activated in the early portion of May. Fantasy managers who are counting on Gelof should probably look elsewhere for a short-term — and potentially longer — replacement. Rotoworld Today, 4:25 pm

    • Churns out another multi-hit game
Bohm went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a run scored Sunday in the Phillies' 8-6 win over the Padres.

Advice: Recently elevated into the cleanup spot, Bohm has stayed on a heater at the plate to give the Phillies little reason to think about moving him down in the order. He's now turned in multi-hit efforts in eight of his last 10 games, batting .548 during that stretch to lift his season-long average up to .365, trailing only Mookie Betts (.387) and Will Smith (.367) for tops among qualified hitters. • Throws bullpen session
Javier (neck) threw a bullpen session Sunday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The right-hander landed on the injured list last Sunday with neck discomfort, but it's encouraging he's back on the mound a week later. Javier will be eligible to be activated during next weekend's three game series versus the Mariners, though it remains to be seen if he's game-ready at that point. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:30 pm
