      Advice: Diaz spoiled Luis Severino's eight-inning gem, allowing a double to Mike Tauchman and a two-run home run to Christopher Morel in the final frame to put the Cubs ahead 3-1, where the score would remain. The loss was Diaz's first true blemish of the campaign, being a perfect 4-for-4 in save chances with no prior losses.       Mitch Garver hit a walk-off two-run homer to give Seattle a 2-1 win over Atlanta on Monday.

      Advice: Garver has easily his biggest hit as a member of the Mariners. The 33-year-old DH took a 3-2 offering from AJ Minter deep into the left-field stands with the team trailing by a run in the bottom of the ninth to give Seattle an improbable victory. Garver has been awful in 2024 with a .150 average, but it didn’t matter tonight.       Advice: Rengifo's two-run blast was a key part of a four-run fifth inning for the Halos, but Minnesota pulled away late to drop the Angels' record to 10-18. Rengifo has been a locked-in part of the team's lineup of late, starting five straight games at either second or third base.       Advice: After a scorching start to the season, Volpe had fallen back a bit in the second half of April, as he came into Sunday batting .157 with no homers and a 30.9 percent strikeout rate over 12 games since April 15. He turned things around -- at least temporarily -- by reaching four times against Milwaukee on Sunday, with his fifth-inning three-run homer opening the floodgates for a Yankees offensive outburst late in the contest.
