      Advice: Doval entered in the bottom of the ninth with a two-run lead and retired the side in order on 14 pitches. He's given up just two runs over 11 innings since a rough season debut against San Diego on March 30.       Torres went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Orioles.

      Advice: Torres led off the sixth inning with a 418-foot shot to center field off Keegan Akin, cutting the Yankees' deficit to 7-2. While it didn't ultimately impact the final score, the home run was certainly a weight off of Torres' shoulders -- he'd gone 32 games without a long ball to start the campaign, a homerless streak of 53 regular-season games if you go back to Torres' last home run Sept. 7.       Mountcastle went 2-for-4 with a home run, two total RBI and an additional run scored in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Yankees.

      Advice: Mountcastle got the Orioles on the board in the third inning with a solo shot off Carlos Rodon, tying the game 1-1. He'd add a second RBI with a base hit in the fifth, extending the lead to 4-1, before scoring on a Jordan Westburg triple. It was a nice finish to the series for the 27-year-old Mountcastle, who'd gone 0-for-12 in the first three games against New York.       Rodon (2-2) took the loss Thursday against the Orioles, allowing seven runs (six earned) on eight hits over four innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: After shutting out Baltimore through the first two innings, Rodon allowed three solo home runs between the third and fourth innings before the O's put up a four spot in the fifth, forcing the Yankees to turn to the bullpen. It's a deflating effort from Rodon, who'd allowed just one run over 13 innings in his previous two starts. His ERA is up to 3.68 on the season with a 1.28 WHIP and 36:14 K:BB in seven starts.       Camilo Doval struck out a batter in a scoreless inning of work while picking up a save Thursday against the Red Sox.

      Advice: Doval is now up to six saves on the season. The right-hander didn’t allow a hit while picking up a strikeout, and he pounded the zone with 11-of-14 pitches going for strikes.       Advice: It comes in a non-save situation, but fantasy managers who roster Díaz get to see their ERA drop with the scoreless frames. He also picked up a pair of strikeouts, and that improves his K/BB to 19/4 over 12 2/3 innings. There really hasn’t been much — if any — rust to shake off for Díaz after missing all of 2023.       Ryan Mountcastle went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in a 7-2 win for the Orioles over the Yankees on Thursday.

      Advice: Mountcastle tied the game at 1-1 with his solo homer off Carlos Rodón in the third inning. That’s the fifth homer of the year, and his RBI single in the fifth brings that total to 16.       Carlos Rodón allowed seven runs — six earned — in four innings while picking up a loss Thursday to the Orioles.

      Advice: Rodón gave up three homers in the loss, and he also allowed eight hits. No walks and no strikeouts, but it’s tough to take much solace in those numbers because see above. The left-hander was excellent in his previous two starts, but the ever-so-tough Baltimore lineup was one he wasn’t up to the task against, at least that was the case for Thursday.
