    • Removed with wrist injury Saturday
Ruiz suffered a wrist injury on a diving catch in the sixth inning of Saturday's win over the Marlins and was removed from the game, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Ruiz appeared to hurt his glove hand and remained down for a brief time following the catch, cradling his left wrist as he exited the field with team trainers. Seth Brown replaced him in left field, and Ruiz could well be headed for a day off in Sunday's series finale, at minimum. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:31 pm

    • Michael King fires six scoreless in win Saturday
Michael King was outstanding in Saturday night’s victory over the Diamondbacks, scattering six hits over six innings of scoreless baseball.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander struck out three batters on the evening and didn’t issue a free pass. All six hits that he allowed in the ballgame were singles, and the Diamondbacks never really mounted a serious scoring threat against him. He got six swings and misses on 91 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 23 percent. For the season, he now holds a 4.29 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 43/21 K/BB ratio over 42 innings in his first eight appearances (seven starts). He’ll look to replicate this fine outing when he toes the slab against the Dodgers on Friday night. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:07 pm

    • Brandon Pfaadt struggles in loss to Padres
Brandon Pfaadt struggled in a losing effort against the Padres on Saturday night, giving up five runs (three earned) on 10 hits over his six-plus innings of work.

Advice: Pfaadt struck out four batters on the evening and didn’t issue a base on balls. The Padres scratched out a run against him in the opening inning on an RBI single by Manny Machado, then tacked on two more runs in the fourth. Pfaadt returned for the seventh inning where he allowed singles to Luis Arraez and Fernando Tatis Jr. before exiting — and both of them ultimately came around to score. The 25-year-old right-hander got 11 whiffs on 89 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 25 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a 4.61 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and a 42/6 K/BB ratio (41 innings) into Friday’s start against the Orioles in Baltimore. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:06 pm
    • Sharp in win over BoSox
Lopez (3-2) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings in a 3-1 victory over the Red Sox. He struck out eight.

Advice: Boston pushed across a run in the top of the first inning, but Lopez slammed the door shut after that, generating 19 swinging strikes among his 99 pitches as he tied his season high in Ks. The quality start was the third of the season for the right-hander, and Lopez will take a 4.30 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 45:8 K:BB through 37.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Mariners. • Pulled from save situation
Kimbrel was pulled from a save situation in the ninth inning of Saturday's game against the Reds. He allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter in one-third of an inning.

Advice: The Cincinnati offense had been quiet all night until Kimbrel gave the home team some life in the bottom of the ninth. He allowed three of the four batters he faced to reach base, prompting the hook from manager Brandon Hyde. Yennier Cano took over and closed the door to earn his first save of the season. Kimbrel earned the save Friday in his return following a brief absence due to back tightness, but he had squandered back-to-back save chances before that and Saturday's slip-up puts him on notice with a high-end arm in Cano representing a viable alternative to Kimbrel in the ninth. • Esteury Ruiz leaves game with left wrist injury
Esteury Ruiz was removed from Saturday night’s lopsided victory over the Marlins with a left wrist injury.

Advice: The 25-year-old speedster suffered the injury while making a tremendous diving catch in left field. Fortunately, it appears to be only a minor issue and the A’s are considering him day-to-day. Ruiz had been 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI prior to departing. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:59 pm

    • Nico Hoerner homers, steals base in win Saturday
Nico Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a home run and a stolen base in a 6-5 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Hoerner put the Cubs on the board right away, taking Tobias Myers deep for a solo homer to lead off the first inning, his first homer of the season. He added a base hit to lead off the seventh, then stole second for his fifth steal of the season. The 26-year-old second baseman is heating up at the plate, with multiple hits in three of his last four games. Hoerner is slashing .286/.364/.397 with 20 runs scored and eight RBI across 143 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:02 pm

    • Pablo López fans eight in victory over Red Sox
Pablo López delivered a dominant performance in Saturday afternoon’s victory over the Red Sox, piling up eight strikeouts over six innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander scattered just five hits and one walk on the afternoon. The lone tally against him came as Tyler O’Neill smacked a two-out double in the opening inning and Wilyer Abreu followed with a run-scoring single. Aside from that, he was in complete control. López got 19 swings and misses on 99 pitches on the afternoon — 11 of those on his fastball — while posting a strong CSW of 31 percent. Now 3-2 on the season, he’ll carry a 4.30 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and a 45/8 K/BB ratio (37 2/3 innings) into Thursday’s showdown against the Mariners. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:52 pm

    • Austin Riley swats solo homer in extra-inning loss
Austin Riley went went 2-for-5 with a solo homer in a loss to the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Riley got Atlanta on the board with a solo homer in the first off Gavin Stone, and that’d be the last run they’d score with Stone in the game. Riley is now up to 17 RBI and three homers to go with a disappointing .725 OPS over 124 at-bats. Rotoworld Friday, 10:15 pm
