    • Returns from IL
The Marlins reinstated Garrett (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday.

Advice: Garrett isn't expected to make his season debut for the big club until Sunday versus Philadelphia, but he'll rejoin the Marlins a few days early after fellow starter Edward Cabrera (shoulder) was placed on the IL in a corresponding move. The 26-year-old southpaw opened the season on the shelf due to a left shoulder impingement and made two rehab starts before a brief shutdown period while he contended with a dead-arm phase. Garrett has bounced back well since resuming his rehab assignment April 26, compiling a 1.32 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 20:4 K:BB in 13.2 innings across three outings between Triple-A Jacksonville and the Marlins' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate. Garrett built up to 82 pitches in his latest rehab outing Monday and isn't expected to face any major workload restrictions when he debuts this weekend. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago
    • Back to IL with shoulder issue
The Marlins placed Cabrera on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a right shoulder impingement.

Advice: Cabrera was removed after two innings during his start in Tuesday's 8-2 loss to the Dodgers with what was referred to as right biceps discomfort, but it's officially a shoulder impingement that will force him to the IL. It's the same injury that kept him out for the first few weeks of the season. Cabrera will be eligible to return from the IL later this month, but there's currently no timetable for the righty. • Idle against lefty
Outman is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Outman will retreat to the bench Wednesday with southpaw Ryan Weathers taking the hill for Miami. He'll be replaced in center field by Andy Pages. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago

    • Resting against lefty
Lux is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Lux will take a seat in the series finale while the Marlins bring southpaw Ryan Weathers to the hill. Miguel Rojas will replace Lux at second base. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago

    • Homers twice
Pillar went 3-for-5 with two home runs and six RBI during Tuesday's 9-0 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Pillar made it a 3-0 ballgame with his three-run home run in the fourth inning, and his solo shot in the seventh gave the Angels a convincing 7-0 lead. The 35-year-old now sports an inflated .866 OPS through 43 plate appearances this season, but he shouldn't be relied on as a consistent source of production in fantasy. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago
    • Picks up 12th save
Finnegan struck out one batter during a perfect ninth inning to pick up the save Tuesday against Baltimore.

Advice: Finnegan has been one of the most reliable closers in the big leagues this season, and he now leads the majors after picking up his 12th save Tuesday. The 32-year-old right-hander owns a 1.76 ERA and 0.85 WHIP, and he's struck out 15 batters across 15.1 innings on the year. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago
    • Fires five scoreless
Williams (4-0) secured the win Tuesday versus the Orioles after throwing five scoreless innings and striking out eight batters while surrendering two hits.

Advice: Williams was carving up the Orioles' lineup Tuesday, striking out eight of the first 15 batters he faced while allowing only one baserunner -- a single from Adley Rutschman. Williams likely could have remained in the game longer; however, the Nationals seem determined to keep him limited to roughly 80 pitches per start this season. The 32-year-old right-hander will boast a 1.96 ERA and 1.06 WHIP heading into his next start -- tentatively scheduled to come Monday against the White Sox. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago
    • Fans seven in win
Sandoval (2-5) picked up the win Tuesday against Pittsburgh after throwing seven scoreless innings and striking out seven batters while giving up three hits and a walk.

Advice: Coming off a 10-strikeout performance in a tough-luck loss during his last start, Sandoval completely silenced the Pirates' bats Tuesday while continuing to strike out batters at a notable clip. Following his dominant outing, he still sits at a 4.85 ERA and 1.49 WHIP through eight starts, but he has enough positive momentum to warrant consideration from fantasy managers during his next start Sunday versus Kansas City. • Rangers place Dane Dunning (shoulder) on IL
According to Rangers manager Bruce Bochy, Dane Dunning is headed to the injured list with a shoulder issue.

Advice: Wow. Dunning was scheduled to pitch against the Rockies on Friday, but now he’ll be sidelined for at least the next two weeks. The 29-year-old has posted a 4.10 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 43/17 K/BB ratio across 37 1/3 innings this season. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago
