    • Knocks three hits
Freeman went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI in Monday's loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Freeman led the game off with a double and scored the first run. He later knocked an RBI single in the second inning and added another double in the ninth. It was his first multi-hit game since going 4-for-4 on May 18. Freeman boosted his slash line to .228/.324/.370 with 15 extra-base hits and 31 runs scored through 189 plate appearances. • Cronenworth has double, RBI against Marlins Monday
Jake Cronenworth went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and an RBI against the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: Cronenworth’s bases-loaded walk in the seventh inning was the difference in the Padres’ 2-1 victory over the Marlins. He continues to play second base after the Padres’ trade for Luis Arraez. Cronenworth’s average is up to .271 and his OPS is up to .806, both of which would be career-highs. • Tyler Freeman goes 3-for-5, doubles twice
Tyler Freeman went 3-for-5 and doubled twice as the Guardians’ leadoff man Monday against the Rockies.

Advice: Freeman won’t be spending much time in the leadoff spot after Steven Kwan comes off the IL, but he looks like a lineup fixture right now. His .228/.324/.370 line makes him a league-average hitter, which is kind of sad but also definite progress from the 25-year-old. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:15 pm

    • Slugs sixth homer
Schneider went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Monday's 5-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Monday's home run was Schneider's first since May 18. Over that span, the 25-year-old has batted just .194 with seven RBI and five runs scored. Even so, Schneider has batted leadoff in eight of the last nine games for the Blue Jays and should continue to see everyday at bats. On the season, he's slashing .241/.350/.453 with six home runs, 24 RBI and 22 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:37 pm
    • Moved to 60-day IL
The Mariners recalled Haggerty (Achilles) from Triple-A Tacoma and placed him on the 60-day injured list Monday.

Advice: Haggerty tore his right Achilles on May 18 in just his second minor-league game since being optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on May 15. Prior to his second stint with Tacoma, Haggerty slashed .344/.417/.375 with eight runs, seven steals and five RBI over 64 at-bats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:32 pm

    • Lands on IL with hamstring strain
The Mariners placed Polanco on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a right hamstring strain.

Advice: Polanco was replaced by Josh Rojas in the sixth inning of Sunday's 9-5 win over the Nationals, with the former going 1-for-2 with an RBI before exiting. Polanco missed seven games earlier in May due to a right hamstring issue, and the 30-year-old will spend time on the injured list this time around. General manager Justin Hollander said Monday that while Polanco has not yet undergone an MRI, he is not expected to be sidelined long, per Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM. The Mariners selected Ryan Bliss from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move, and he will start at second base Monday and bat eighth against Astros southpaw Framber Valdez. • Added to roster
The Mariners selected Bliss's contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: The 24-year-old infielder receives his first major-league promotion after putting up a .247/.382/.445 batting line with seven home runs and 28 stolen bases this season with Tacoma. The right-handed hitting Bliss plays both middle infield spots and could get some starts at second base versus lefties due to Jorge Polanco (hamstring) going down. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:17 pm

    • Jorge Polanco (hamstring) goes on IL for Mariners
Mariners placed INF Jorge Polanco on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring.

Advice: Polanco aggravated the hamstring Sunday in his fifth appearance back after an eight-day absence due to the same injury. He’s hitting just .195/.293/.302 this season, so the break might be best for everyone. The Mariners will use Dylan Moore and Ryan Bliss at second base for now. The injury should also open up some playing time for Mitch Haniger, who has been sitting against righties with Moore seeing starts in the outfield. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:12 pm

    • Mariners bring up Ryan Bliss for MLB debut
Mariners selected the contract of INF Ryan Bliss from Triple-A Tacoma.

Advice: The 24-year-old Bliss will make his major league debut after hitting .247/.382/.445 with seven homers and 28 steals for Tacoma. The Mariners could have called him up earlier after J.P. Crawford got hurt, but that apparently was too big of a downgrade defensively at shortstop. Bliss fits better at second, though he’d been splitting time between the spots in the minors. He’ll likely mostly back up Dylan Moore while Jorge Polanco is out, though he should start versus lefties with Moore moving to third. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:08 pm
