    • Earns 31st save
Helsley earned a save against the Pirates on Tuesday, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Helsley was asked to protect a 7-4 lead in the ninth inning and did so on 17 pitches. He leads the league with 31 saves and has not blown a save chance since his first outing of the season. Through 38 innings, the 29-year-old owns a 2.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 47:16 K:BB. • Hits grand slam in win
Gorman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in a 7-4 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Gorman hit a grand slam in the fourth inning and added a single in the sixth. He was mired in a 2-for-29 slump but opened July with his first home run since June 19 and first multi-hit effort since June 4. On the season, the second baseman owns a disappointing .192 average but is currently tied with Ketel Marte for tops at the position with 17 home runs. Rotowire.com Today, 8:05 pm

    • Trea Turner homers twice in win over Cubs
Trea Turner went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Cubs.

Advice: Turner hit a solo homer in the top of the third inning to give the Phillies a 3-0 lead and later returned to hit a two-run shot in the fifth inning to push the lead to 5-1. The Phillies start shortstop now has five homers on the season and has hit safely in five of his last six games. Turner is slashing a solid .338/.386/.487 on the season but hasn’t offered much as far as steals are concerned, which could be chalked up to the hamstring injury he returned from a few weeks ago. • Elly De La Cruz homers in win over Yankees
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was a 425-foot shot for his 15th home run of the season. Elly also struck out twice and is hitting just .226 over his last 40 games while posting a strikeout rate of over 31 percent; however, his athleticism and raw power are so elite that he continues to produce fantasy goodness. If he ever made the plate discipline gains to make more consistent contact, he could be the best player in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Today, 7:31 pm

    • Reynaldo López goes just 4 2/3 innings vs. Giants
Reynaldo López allowed two runs over 4 1/3 innings while striking out six in Tuesday’s loss to the Giants.

Advice: López was pulled after 101 pitches, as the veteran righty allowed base runners on the night, with four coming via the walk. López gave up a solo homer to Jorge Soler in the fifth inning and later saw LaMonte Wade Jr. take him deep to tie the game at 2-2 before being pulled after retiring the next batter. López has allowed two earned runs or less in his last six outings but has walked four batters in back-to-back games. He carries a 1.83 ERA into his next start, which is scheduled for Sunday against the Phillies. Rotoworld Today, 7:20 pm

    • Ryan Helsley snags 31st save
Ryan Helsley threw a scoreless ninth inning to pick up a save in a 7-4 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Helsley didn’t allow a hit while striking out one and now leads baseball with his 31st save, which is incredible since we haven’t even hit the All-Star break yet. He’s been one of the best draft day values of the 2024 fantasy baseball season. Rotoworld Today, 6:55 pm

    • Gorman homers, drives in four in win
Nolan Gorman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Gorman’s home run was a 415-foot shot for his 17th of the season to go along with 41 RBIs. However, he also struck out twice and came into today with a 36.5 percent strikeout rate. In his last 35 games, Gorman is hitting just .177/.241/.411 with a 36.5 percent strikeout rate. However, he also has 10 home runs and five steals over that span, so if you are not in a batting average league or are punting the category, you can likely still roster Gorman. • Bryan Woo (hamstring) resumes throwing
Bryan Woo (hamstring) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session over the weekend.

Advice: Mariners manager Scott Servais told reporters Woo will throw a more extended side session this week. The 24-year-old righty hit the injured list last week with a right hamstring strain, but the fact that he’s already throwing is a sign that he’s not going to require a lengthy absence. It’s possible he’ll make it back prior to the All-Star break, but the most likely outcome is that he’ll be ready to go shortly afterwards. Rotoworld Today, 5:21 pm

    • M’s drop Julio Rodríguez to seventh in lineup
Julio Rodríguez is batting seventh on Tuesday against the Orioles.

Advice: It’s the lowest Rodriguez has batted in the majors in quite some time as his frosty start to the 2024 campaign continues. The 23-year-old generational talent has really struggled to get going this season at the plate, batting .247/.297/.327 with seven homers and 17 steals across 360 plate appearances. He’s been ice-cold of late, hitting .069 (2-for-29) over his last seven games. It’s possible taking some pressure off him to produce in the heart of Seattle’s lineup will help him get back on track. We’ll see. Rotoworld Today, 2:26 pm
