    • Plays nine innings Thursday
Thomas (knee) went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts for Double-A Harrisburg on Thursday while playing all nine innings in right field.

Advice: It's the first time in three rehab games that Thomas has played a full nine innings. The 28-year-old is 2-for-9 at the plate in those three contests with a double and a stolen base, and per Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports, the Nationals are considering whether to activate him Friday or leave him on his rehab assignment for another couple days to get his timing back at the plate. When Thomas does come off the IL, however, he should immediately slot back into the starting lineup in right field for Washington. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago

    • Swipes two bags in win
Mullins went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: Mullins grounded into a fielder's choice in his first at-bat before going on to steal second and third and coming home for Baltimore's first run of the contest. He would add a single and come around to score during a four-run fourth inning for the Orioles, giving him only his second multi-hit performance this month. Mullins is batting just .160 (8-for-50) in May, though he's swiped four bags over his last five games. Rotowire.com Today, 7:19 am

    • Homers in third straight game
Chapman went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Thursday's 7-6 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Chapman's swing is rounding into form -- he's got a homer in three straight games, and he's hitting .405 (17-for-42) with six walks during an 11-game on-base streak. The third baseman's blast Thursday sparked the Giants' eighth-inning rally. He's up to a .249/.313/.440 slash line with eight homers, 27 RBI, five stolen bases and 33 runs scored through 50 contests overall. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:02 pm

    • Swipes two bags
Kim went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two stolen bases in Thursday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the Reds.

Advice: Kim seemingly has a green light to run right now -- he's logged five steals over his last five games, going 5-for-15 with five walks in that span. The shortstop is up to 13 thefts on 14 attempts this season, putting him roughly on pace to match his total of 38 steals in 2023. Kim has added a .216/.335/.369 slash line with six home runs, 22 RBI, 25 runs scored, four doubles and two triples over 52 games, but his recent hitting suggests he may be turning things around. Kim still figures to hit in the bottom half of the order most of the time. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:47 pm

    • Ha-Seong Kim steals two bags against Reds
Ha-Seong Kim stole two bases while going 1-for-3 with a walk against the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: Kim was also thrown out stealing for the second time this season, but the pair of thefts do bring his season total to 13. That’s a solid number, obviously, but his .216/.335/.369 slash has left a lot to be desired. Despite those poor numbers he does have six homers and 22 RBI, so we’ll call Kim’s 2024 campaign a mixed bag. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:32 pm

    • Matt Chapman homers, drives in three in victory
Matt Chapman hit a three-run homer Thursday to help the Giants to a win over the Pirates.

Advice: Chapman remains hot, and his three-run blast off Hunter Stratton got San Francisco back in the game; turning a 6-2 deficit into a 6-5 game. The 31-year-old has homered eight times, and three of those blasts have come in his last three games. Chapman has been streaky for the majority of his career, and it appears he’s on the right side of things right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:44 pm

    • Tosses quality start for fourth win
King (4-4) picked up the win Wednesday, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks over 6.2 innings in a 7-3 victory over the Reds. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander delivered his fifth quality start of the year, and his third in four May outings, on 92 pitches (62 strikes). King has had trouble maintaining consistency as he adjusts to being a full-time starting pitcher, but his 3.24 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB through 25 innings this month is encouraging. He'll look to put together another solid start in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Marlins. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:50 am

    • Sitting for second time in series
Haniger is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Haniger will hit the bench for the second time in the series, and he could find himself in more of a part-time role or short-side platoon role moving forward after the Mariners recently welcomed Dominic Canzone back from the injured list. With Canzone and the hot-hitting Luke Raley having made cases for regular roles in the corner outfield, Mitch Garver could represent Haniger's primary competition for playing time at designated hitter. Haniger has turned in an underwhelming .587 OPS in May and is slashing .217/.280/.361 overall on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:22 am

    • Back in slump
Arozarena went 1-for-4 with a walk Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Arozarena had a surge in power for the first two weeks of May with five homers in the first 12 games of the month, but he has struggled for the last week. In his last seven games, he has hit just .172 with a 29 percent strikeout to go along with three runs scored and no RBI. Arozarena's eight home runs and seven stolen bases for the season are salvaging his production, but that's paired with a .162 average and .262 wOBA. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:49 am
