    • Grabs first win
Scott (1-4) earned the win Tuesday over Colorado, allowing an unearned run on a hit and a walk in one inning. He struck out two.

Advice: Scott allowed the free runner to score in the top of the 10th inning on a two-out Ryan McMahon double before ultimately striking out Hunter Goodman to end the frame. The Marlins would then score twice in the bottom half, completing the comeback victory and giving Scott his first win this year. The left-hander hasn't allowed an earned run in his last six appearances -- he's 4-for-5 in save chances this year with a 2.84 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 12:13 K:BB across 12.2 innings. • Collects save in season debut
Duran gave up one hit and struck out a batter during a scoreless ninth inning to pick up the save during Tuesday's 6-5 win over the White Sox.

Advice: In his first appearance since being reinstated from the injured list, Duran picked up right where he left off last season. He allowed a leadoff single to Tommy Pham before retiring the next three batters, ending the game with a four-pitch strikeout of Andrew Vaughn. It wasn't clear heading into Tuesday's game whether or not Duran would immediately slide back into the closer role after missing the first month of the season, but it appears manager Rocco Baldelli will trust the 26-year-old righty to work the ninth inning going forward. • Tanner Scott picks up extra-innings win
Tanner Scott allowed one run (no earned) on one hit and one walk in one inning while getting the win in a 7-6 extra-innings win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: Scott got two quick outs in the top of the 10th innings but then allowed a double to Ryan McMahon which scored the ghost runner. He then issued an intentional walk before getting another strikeout to end the inning. He would pick up with win when the Marlins scored twice in the bottom of the inning. It’s never easy with Scott but at least the walk tonight was intentional. The Marlins are clearly planning to keep him as their closer, so he deserves to be on your fantasy roster, even if you want to bench him to see if he can work his command issues out. • Reinstated Tuesday, as expected
The Twins activated Duran (oblique) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Minnesota will finally have its closer healthy and available after Duran missed the first month of the season due to an oblique strain. The right-hander labored a bit during his first rehab outing, but he looked like himself during his second and final appearance Saturday, as he averaged 101.8 mph with his fastball. Manager Rocco Baldelli hasn't officially indicated whether or not Duran will immediately slot back in as the Twins' closer, but he seems likely to get ninth-inning chances sooner than later. • Twins activate Jhoan Duran for Tuesday return
Twins activated RHP Jhoan Duran (oblique) from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Duran will make his season debut this week, reclaiming his role as Minnesota’s closer, following a one-month stint on the injured list to open the year. He was sent to Triple-A St. Paul for a rehab assignment over the weekend and it appears all went well and he’s been given the green light to return to the active roster. The 26-year-old finished last year with a career-high 27 saves and a 2.45 ERA across 62 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Tuesday, 11:05 am

    • In line to be activated Tuesday
Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said that Duran (oblique) will likely be activated from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: Duran has rejoined the Twins in Chicago following a pair of minor-league rehab appearances. While he won't be activated prior to Monday's series opener versus the White Sox, Duran looks like he just needed one additional day of recovery after making his most recent rehab appearance Saturday. Baldelli didn't say whether Duran would immediately regain his closer job or be eased back in upon his reinstatement, but fantasy managers should probably go ahead and activate the hard thrower for this week so as not to miss out on any potential saves he might net. • Jhoan Duran (oblique) could return Tuesday for MIN
Jhoan Duran (oblique) is with the Twins in Chicago and could be activated off the injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Duran has missed all of 2024 because of his oblique injury, but he’s been able to make rehab appearances, and if everything goes well, the 26-year-old will be a welcome addition to the Minnesota bullpen. Once active, it seems likely Duran will see the majority of save chances. Rotoworld Monday, 2:43 pm

    • Activation imminent
Duran (oblique) is with the Twins in Chicago for their series against the White Sox and his activation from the 15-day injured list appears imminent, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: There's no word on Duran possibly being activated Monday, but it sounds like he should join the roster at some point during the series. The closer has been out all season with a right oblique strain but is ready to roll after making two rehab appearances. It's possible manager Rocco Baldelli will want to see Duran in a low-leverage spot or two initially, but it shouldn't be long before he's closing again for the Twins. • Bounces back in second rehab outing
Duran (oblique) averaged 101.8 mph with his fastball while striking out two in a scoreless inning in his second rehab appearance with Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday.

Advice: In his first rehab appearance April 23, Duran allowed two runs on four hits and didn't have his typical velocity, but he looked more like his normal, dominant self Saturday. He averaged 101.8 miles per hour with his fastball Saturday and induced three swings and misses on the four splitters he threw. The Twins haven't announced when Duran will be activated from the 15-day injured list, but it could be any day now, and perhaps as soon as Monday, when the team begins a three-game series with the White Sox. Duran has been out all season with a right oblique strain. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:21 am
