    • Nearing rehab assignment
      Conforto (hamstring) could begin a rehab assignment later this week, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

      Advice: Conforto was cleared to resume baseball activities last week as he works his way back from a right hamstring strain, although it's uncertain whether he's done any running yet.       Michael Conforto (hamstring) could start a rehab assignment later this week.

      Advice: Fellow outfielder Austin Slater (concussion) is starting a rehab assignment at Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, and Conforto could join him later in the week. The 31-year-old is off to a tremendous start with a .280/.331/.490 slash line and seven home runs in 38 games. He was placed on the IL on May 12th and his return to the active roster could be bad news for one of Luis Matos or Heliot Ramos, who have been playing regularly since Conforto was injured.     • Justin Turner on the bench again
      Justin Turner is on the bench for Monday’s game against the White Sox.

      Advice: Turner got a day off on Sunday, but he remains out of the lineup on Monday with Daniel Vogelbach starting at designated hitter again. The 39-year-old is slashing just .222/.301/.359 in 173 plate appearances in 2024 with four home runs and 18 RBI. It’s possible that the Blue Jays will look to get at-bats for other players in his place, and fantasy managers can certainly look to do the same with a hot bat on the waiver wire.       Advice: Turner has now been absent from the lineup for two straight games and three times over his club's last five contests. He did enter the game twice over that stretch as a pinch hitter and will be an option to do so again Monday when/if the White Sox put a left-handed reliever in.     • Let down by defense
      Ginkel (2-1) was tagged with Sunday's 3-1 loss, giving up three unearned runs on three hits while striking out one over one inning to the Marlins.

      Advice: Ginkel deserved better, but the normally surehanded Kevin Newman had a throwing error that led to all of Miami's runs being unearned. It continues a rough stretch for Ginkel, the one-time closer, who has allowed nine runs (six earned) on 13 hits and two walks over last 6.1 innings.       Jansen pitched a flawless ninth inning and picked up the save Sunday against Milwaukee. He struck out two.

      Advice: Jansen notched his ninth save of the season, preserving a 2-1 Boston lead in the ninth inning. The right-hander continues to have a firm grip on the Boston closer role, as no other Boston reliever has registered more than two saves this season.     • Kenley Jansen perfect in earning ninth save
      Kenley Jansen pitched a perfect ninth, striking out two, for a save Sunday against the Brewers.

      Advice: Jansen’s save was his ninth in 10 chances. He’ll be a trade candidate this summer and there’s the chance he’ll go to a team that won’t employ him as a closer, but he’s a top-15 reliever for now. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:18 pm

      Olson went 3-for-5 with a home run, double, three RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Pirates.

      Advice: Olson's eighth-inning blast off Aroldis Chapman was a no-doubter over the right field wall, clearing the stadium and splashing down in the Allegheny River. Olson had previously added a two-run double and finished the game just a triple short of the cycle.     • Scoreless streak ends in loss
      Crochet (5-5) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out 11 over six innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Orioles.

      Advice: Crochet was able to extend his scoreless streak to 24 innings, which began with his last two frames versus the Cardinals on May 5. It came to a close when Adley Rutschman took him deep in the sixth inning of Sunday's contest, and that was enough to snap Crochet's four-start winning streak as well. On the bright side, he earned a fifth straight quality start and reached double-digit strikeouts for the third time this year.
