    • Moved to 60-day IL
The Diamondbacks transferred Kelly (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

Advice: Kelly was placed on the 15-day IL on April 23 after sustaining a teres major strain in his right shoulder. Due to his transfer to the 60-day IL, Kelly will be on the shelf until at least late June, and his rehab progress over the next few weeks could determine whether the right-hander will need more time beyond that window. Kelly started the season with a 2-0 record, 2.19 ERA and 0.93 WHIP over 24.2 innings through four starts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:45 pm

    • D-backs transfer Merrill Kelly to 60-day IL
Diamondbacks transferred RHP Merrill Kelly to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The procedural move opens up a spot on Arizona’s 40-man roster. The 35-year-old veteran right-hander is facing a lengthy absence after landing on the shelf last week with a right shoulder strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:32 pm

    • Tagged with loss in quality start
Bassitt (2-5) took the loss Wednesday, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk over six innings as the Blue Jays fell 6-1 to the Royals. He struck out four.

Advice: The veteran righty took a no-hitter into the sixth inning, but a leadoff double by Kyle Isbel kicked off a three-run frame for Kansas City, and with Seth Lugo also pitching extremely well, Bassitt had no margin for error. He tossed 62 of 92 pitches for strikes in his third quality start of the season, but Bassitt will carry a shaky 5.45 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 34:18 K:BB through 36.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Philadelphia. • Chris Bassitt gives up three-run homer in ldefeat
Chris Bassitt surrendered three runs in six innings Wednesday in a loss to the Royals.

Advice: Bassitt actually had a no-hitter going until the sixth, when the Royals mustered two singles and two doubles to take a 3-0 lead. The results will likely be there eventually, but the loss today leaves him 2-5 with a 5.45 ERA. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:49 pm

    • Gets back on track
Crochet didn't factor into the decision Monday, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk across five innings against the Twins. He struck out seven.

Advice: After surrendering five or more runs in three straight starts, Crochet snapped out of the funk and only allowed the Twins to score on a two-run homer by Carlos Santana in the second frame. Crochet also had strong command, walking just one batter after yielding seven walks and two hit-by-pitches in his last three outings. Although Crochet has been inconsistent to kick off 2024, his strikeout stuff has been elite, boasting the second most K's in baseball. He's lined up for a Saturday start against the Cardinals. • Garrett Crochet bounces back Monday vs. Twins
Garrett Crochet struck out seven and allowed two runs over five innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Twins.

Advice: Crochet gave up just two hits and only handed out one free pass as a second-inning homer by veteran Carlos Santana accounted for all of the damage against him. He generated 13 swinging strikes and finished with a solid 34 percent CSW. It was a much-needed bounce-back outing for the 24-year-old southpaw after allowing at least five earned runs in three consecutive starts since April 13. He’ll bring a bloated 5.97 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 47/9 K/BB ratio across 34 2/3 innings (seven starts) into a road matchup on Sunday against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium. The underlying metrics suggest that he’s pitched better than his surface stats, which means fantasy managers should continue keeping him rostered outside of extremely shallow mixed leagues. • Roughed up in loss
Wacha (1-3) was saddled with the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on nine hits over 5.2 innings against the Tigers. He struck out three.

Advice: Wacha was given an early one-run lead before he even took the hill but gave up three runs in the first two innings and four total while the Royals were able to support him with only that one first-inning tally. The veteran righty entered the day having allowed just two home runs over his first 28.1 innings but was tagged for two homers and two doubles amongst the nine hits allowed. Wacha's next start is tentatively scheduled to take place next week during a weekend set at home against the Rangers. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:24 pm

    • Wacha hit around by the Tigers on Sunday
Michael Wacha allowed four runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Tigers.

Advice: The veteran also struck out three and walked nobody. The changeup was really the only pitch working for Wacha today, and even though that usually leads the way for him, Wacha wasn’t able to get much help from his other pitches, including a curve that didn’t even find the strike zone 30 percent of the time. Wacha doesn’t have a high ceiling, but his floor is usually a little safer than this; he just needs to maintain his command. He gets a tough matchup against the Rangers next week. • Solid in no-decision
Singer didn't factor in the decision Saturday at Detroit after he allowed one run on four hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander gave up a run on a walk and a triple during the second inning but blanked the Tigers in his other four frames. Despite the strong run prevention, it was the third straight start with three walks for Singer, who generated just eight swings-and-misses Saturday. The 27-year-old has enjoyed a strong first month of the season with a 2.62 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 34:13 K:BB across 34.1 innings. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:23 am
