    • Blows save, earns win
Fairbanks (2-3) earned the win Thursday, allowing one run on two hits over two innings against the Twins. He struck out one.

Advice: Fairbanks was not needed to start the ninth due to the Rays holding a four-run lead, but a leadoff homer followed by the next two runners reaching base necessitated the call to Fairbanks. After inducing a couple of quick outs, Jose Miranda tagged him for a two-out game-tying homer that sent the game to extras. Once the Rays regained the lead in the 10th, Fairbanks stayed on to close out his own victory. The blown save was the second of the season for Fairbanks, who ran the gamut during the series with the Twins, suffering the loss on Tuesday followed by the blown save and subsequent win on Thursday. • Homers in return to lineup
Judge went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Thursday's loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Judge did his best to bring the Yankees back from a large deficit early with a two-run shot in the third and an RBI single in the fifth, but his effort would fall well short as Baltimore's offense exploded for 17 runs. The long ball was the outfielder's 28th of the season, which leads the majors, and he's now recorded at least one RBI in seven of his last 11 games. Judge is batting .418 in June following Thursday's performance with seven home runs, 22 RBI and 17 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:18 pm

    • Aaron Judge slugs 27th homer in return to lineup
Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Thursday in the Yankees’ blowout loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Judge returned to the Yankees lineup for Thursday afternoon’s showdown against Baltimore after missing only one game with left hand contusion. The home run was his 27th of the season and he’s already up to 67 RBI. Fantasy managers can exhale with the return of one of the best hitters in the game and based on this contest, it doesn’t seem like the hand is bothering him at all. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:49 pm

    • Pete Fairbanks (thumb) blows save, gets victory
Pete Fairbanks (thumb) blew a save while allowing a run against the Twins on Thursday, but worked two innings to get the victory.

Advice: Fairbanks entered the game with a couple of runners on and Tampa Bay holding a 6-3 cushion. He was able to get the first two outs, but then gave up a game-tying homer to Jose Miranda to blow the save. He was able to get the final three outs after the Rays scored in the 10th, however, so he gets the win. The right-hander missed a couple of days while dealing with a thumb injury, so the positive is he was back on the mound and does at least get a win. Fairbanks is still likely to see save chances going forward even with a fair share of clunkers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:28 pm
    • Maikel Garcia gets a day off on Thursday
Maikel Garcia is not in the Royals’ lineup for Thursday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: The 24-year-old is hitting just .145 in 16 games in June with 12 strikeouts. He does have four steals and 10 runs scored and is coming off a month of May where he hit .305, so this might be nothing but a brief cold stretch. The Royals will hope a day off helps him get back on track. In the meantime, Garrett Hampson will start at second base and hit eighth with Nick Loftin moving over to third base. • Back in lineup, hitting third
Judge (hand) will start in center field and bat third in Thursday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Judge was removed from Tuesday's 4-2 win over Baltimore after being hit by a pitch on the left hand and sat out Wednesday's 7-6 loss, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go in the series finale Thursday. He and his teammates will face left-hander Cole Irvin. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:13 am

    • Full game at DH
Polanco (hamstring) took a full game's worth of plate appearances as the designated hitter in Triple-A Tacoma's win over Las Vegas on Wednesday, going 1-for-4 with a walk and a run.

Advice: Polanco's ability to play in back-to-back games for the second time in his rehab assignment appears to bode well for his chances of imminent activation. The veteran infielder already logged seven innings on defense Tuesday, so there may be nothing left to prove for Polanco in terms of the fitness of his previously ailing hamstring. • Earns fourth win
Adam (4-1) didn't allow a baserunner and struck out one to earn the win Wednesday against the Twins.

Advice: Adam entered the game in the ninth inning with the score tied, 2-2, and turned in his eighth scoreless performance in his last 10 appearances. He has a 9:1 K:BB in that span, though he has allowed three earned runs. While Pete Fairbanks (thumb) isn't expected to be sidelined long, Adam could get a short-term look in save scenarios. • Tosses quality start but takes loss
Crochet (6-6) took the loss against Houston on Wednesday, allowing three runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over six innings.

Advice: Crochet racked up a hearty 19 whiffs and eight punchouts, but it wasn't enough to keep him out of the loss column in a contest during which he was supported with just one run. The fact that the three earned runs were the most the left-hander has allowed since April 24 speaks volumes about the quality of his campaign thus far. Crochet has tallied six consecutive quality starts and is tied for 10th in the majors with 10 total on the campaign. He also ranks second in the league with 124 punchouts while posting a 3.25 ERA and 0.95 WHIP through 88.2 innings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:05 pm
