    • Ceddanne Rafaela homers twice in win over Tigers
Ceddanne Rafaela crushed a pair of home runs and drove in five on Friday night, propelling the Red Sox to a lopsided 7-3 victory over the Tigers at Fenway Park.

Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder broke the game open with a 359-foot (101.0 mph) three-run shot to left off of Kenta Maeda in the fourth inning — giving the Red Sox a 4-1 lead. He added to that lead with a 375-foot (99.5 mph EV) two-run shot off of Joey Wentz in the sixth inning that made it a 7-1 ballgame. Rafaela finished the night 2-for-4 and is now hitting .211/.239/.387 to go along with seven homers and 33 RBI on the season. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

    • Dominic Smith collects two hits in win over Tigers
Dominic Smith went 2-for-3 and drove in a run on Friday as the Red Sox defeated the Tigers at Fenway Park.

Advice: Smith got the Red Sox on the board with a run-scoring double off of Kenta Maeda in the fourth inning, then scored on Ceddanne Rafaela’s three-run blast. The 28-year-old also drew a walk in the contest, reaching base safely in three of his four plate appearances. Even with the strong showing though, he’s still hitting just .198/.278/.284 with one homer and 13 RBI on the season. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

    • David Hamilton has three hits, swipe in victory
David Hamilton went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base as the Red Sox triumphed over the Tigers on Friday evening.

Advice: All three of Hamilton’s hits in the ballgame were singles. He reached on a one-out single off of Joey Wentz in the sixth inning, swiped second base and then rode home on Ceddanne Rafaela’s second long ball of the night. With his three-hit attack. Hamilton is now slashing .281/.347/.416 with two homers, six RBI and nine stolen bases on the year. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

    • Tanner Houck dominates in victory over Tigers
Tanner Houck delivered a dominant performance in Friday night’s victory over the Tigers, allowing just one run on three hits over seven stellar innings.

Advice: The 27-year-old hurler racked up six strikeouts on the evening while issuing a pair of free passes. The lone tally against him came on an RBI single by Gio Urshela in the opening inning. After that, the Tigers never really threatened against him. Houck got 10 swings and misses on 95 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 32 percent. Now 5-5 on the season, he’ll carry an impressive 1.85 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and a 75/15 K/BB ratio (78 innings) into Thursday’s matchup against the White Sox in Chicago. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

Colt Keith blasted a two-run homer on Friday night as the Tigers fell to the Red Sox in Boston.

Advice: The 22-year-old second baseman made the final score look at least a bit closer with his 385-foot (101.4 mph EV) two-run shot off of Greg Weissert in the eighth inning. Keith finished the night 1-for-4 and is now hitting .238/.296/.311 with a pair of homers and 19 RBI on the season. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

    • Kenta Maeda struggles in loss to Red Sox on Friday
Kenta Maeda struggled in Friday night’s loss to the Red Sox, giving up five runs on eight hits over his 4 2/3 innings.

Advice: On the plus side, Maeda was able to punch out six batters on the night while allowing just two walks. He was able to keep the Red Sox off the board through the first three innings, but they broke through for four runs in the fourth inning — including a three-run blast off the bat of Ceddanne Rafaela. Maeda got 11 swings and misses on 85 pitches on the evening, registering a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll look to improve upon a troublesome 6.25 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and a 30/12 K/BB ratio (40 1/3 innings) when he toes the slab against the Rangers in Arlington on Wednesday. • Tanner Bibee blazes past Nationals for win
Tanner Bibee allowed one earned run across 6 ⅓ innings in a 7-1 win over the Nationals on Friday. He struck out seven and walked one.

Advice: This was a tremendous start for Bibee mostly fueled by increased fastball velocity. His heater ticked up to 98 MPH and averaged 95.5 MPH, but tailed off in the seventh inning as the Nationals started to get around on him. This was the second time in three starts Bibee’s fastball averaged at least 95.5 MPH and keeping the velocity on that pitch up is the key to his success. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

    • Steven Kwan goes 3-for-4 in return
Steven Kwan went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, an RBI, and a walk in a win over the Nationals on Friday.

Advice: Kwan didn’t miss a beat after spending nearly four weeks on the IL with a hamstring strain. He was slashing the ball all over the yard and in the middle of multiple Guardians’ rallies. His batting average is up to an astounding .365. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • David Fry stays hot, homers again
David Fry went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and a walk in a win over the Nationals on Friday.

Advice: What else is there to say about Fry? This long ball was his third in six games and it’s getting more and more difficult to deny his blazing hot start. He’s slashing a remarkable .365/.485/1.114 with the plate discipline and batted ball metrics to match his production. Rotoworld 27 minutes ago
