    • Strikes out seven in no-decision
Montgomery allowed three runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven over 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Reds on Monday.

Advice: Montgomery turned in an okay outing, missing out on a quality start for the second time in five games for the Diamondbacks. He's pitched to a 4.76 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB over 28.1 innings this season. Montgomery's had a bit of trouble racking up strikeouts so far as he's had to get up to speed on the job after signing with Arizona in late March. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Tigers. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:16 pm
    • Jordan Montgomery shaky in start against Reds
Jordan Montgomery allowed three runs over 5 1/3 innings while not qualifying for a decision against the Reds on Monday.

Advice: Montgomery allowed six hits with three walks, and he was able to strike out seven. He allowed a two-run double in the second inning to Spencer Steer, and the third run came after the southpaw had left the contest on a Mike Ford single. This wasn’t close to the strong outing he had Wednesday against the Reds, but there were some good moments and a few punchouts to help. He’s now the owner of a 4.76 ERA, with a chance to lower that number against the Tigers on Sunday. Rotoworld Monday, 10:04 pm
    • Earns win in extra frame
Romano (1-0) earned the win Monday, walking one and striking out one over two scoreless innings of relief against the Orioles.

Advice: Romano entered a tie game in the ninth, needing just nine pitches to complete the frame, then unofficially saved his own victory after the Blue Jays plated a run in the top of the 10th. It was the 10th appearance of the season for the Toronto closer, who had converted on all six of his save opportunities prior to earning his first victory Monday. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:11 pm
    • José Berríos completes seven frames in no-decision
José Berríos allowed two runs over seven innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Orioles.

Advice: Berríos struck out four and only handed out one free pass. He limited Baltimore’s exciting lineup to just three hits over seven frames with a pair of Adley Rutschman solo homers accounting for all of the damage against him in this one. It was a much-needed rebound effort for the 29-year-old righty after being torched for eight runs over 3 2/3 innings his last time out against the Phillies. He’ll bring a solid 2.82 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 42/16 K/BB ratio across 54 1/3 innings (nine starts) into a home outing on Sunday against the Rays. Rotoworld Monday, 7:08 pm
    • Bounces back with quality start
Berrios did not factor into the decision Monday against the Orioles, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk over seven innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Berrios allowed two solo homers to Adley Rutschman but otherwise only allowed one additional single through seven quality innings. It was a nice bounce-back performance for Berrios, who was lit up for eight runs in his last start against the Phillies after having allowed just seven runs total through his first seven appearances. He will carry a 2.82 ERA and 1.05 WHIP into his next start, tentatively scheduled to take place over the weekend when the Blue Jays host the Rays. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:42 pm
    • Settles for no-decision Sunday
Severino did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 4-3 win over Atlanta. He allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings.

Advice: Severino served up a solo home run to Jarred Kelenic in the second inning but otherwise limited the damage. His night ended after allowing the first two hitters to reach in the sixth and he was ultimately charged with another run. Severino has now failed to reach six innings in consecutive starts and has issued nine walks over his last 10 innings pitched. He now owns a 3.00 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 41:20 K:BB in 45 innings and will look to get back in the win column over the weekend against the Marlins having not picked up a win since April 17. • Luis Severino surrenders two runs in no-decision
Luis Severino pitched decently in a no-decision against the Braves on Sunday night, allowing two runs on four hits over his five-plus innings of work.

Advice: The 30-year-old right-hander walked three batters and punched out four on the night. He served up a solo homer to Jarred Kelenic in the second inning, then allowed the first two hitters to reach in the sixth inning before turning the ball over to the bullpen, and one of them ultimately crossed the plate. Severino got 12 swings and misses on 94 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll try to get back in the win column as he totes a 3.00 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and a 41/20 K/BB ratio (45 innings) into Friday’s matchup against the Marlins in Miami. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:14 pm

    • Solid over seven versus Twins
Manoah (0-1) was tagged with a loss after he pitched seven innings, allowing three unearned runs on four hits and a walk while striking out six in Sunday's 5-1 defeat to Minnesota.

Advice: The 26-year-old right-hander was in full command Sunday, tossing six scoreless frames to open his outing against the Twins. With one out in the top of the seventh inning, Max Kepler reached on a fielding error by Toronto third baseman Ernie Clement and three runs -- all of which were unearned -- came around to score on a Carlos Santana homer. Manoah struggled in his 2024 debut against the Nationals on May 5, giving up seven runs (six earned) over four innings, so Sunday's performance was a positive sign. Manoah will look to make it back-to-back strong outings when he returns to the mound for his next projected start Saturday versus the Rays. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:23 pm
    • Alek Manoah strong for seven in loss to Twins
Alek Manoah took a tough loss after allowing three unearned runs over seven innings Sunday against the Twins.

Advice: The runs all came on a Carlos Santana homer following an Ernie Clement error in the seventh. Manoah allowed four hits, walked one and struck out six. His velocity today wasn’t quite as good as his in his season debut last week, but he was still up about one mph from last year on all of his pitches and he induced 15 missed swings. We wouldn’t trust him in mixed leagues right now, but this has been pretty encouraging. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:30 pm
