    • Not in lineup Thursday
Siri isn't in the Rays' lineup Thursday versus the Royals.

Advice: Siri has just one hit and a walk in his last 15 plate appearances. The centerfielder will get to reset on the bench with Jonny DeLuca starting in his spot and batting seventh. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago

    • Michael King shuts down Rangers over 5 1/3 in win
Michael King struck out five and allowed one run over 5 1/3 innings on Thursday in a win over the Rangers.

Advice: King generated 13 swinging strikes, although just a pair of them came on his four-seam fastball, as he finished with a robust 34 percent CSW. A sixth-inning single from Wyatt Langford was responsible for the lone tally against him in a low-scoring pitcher’s duel at Globe Life Field. The 29-year-old former reliever will bring a strong 3.51 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 120/41 K/BB ratio across 105 innings (19 appearances, 18 starts) into a home outing on Wednesday against the Mariners in his final outing prior to the Midsummer Classic. • Taking BP with Double-A affiliate
Edman (wrist) will take live batting practice on Friday and Saturday at Double-A Springfield, Lynn Worthy of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Advice: If that goes well, Edman should be cleared to begin a rehab assignment with Springfield. Edman was recently set back a few days by a sprained ankle, but that appears to be a non-issue now. The Cardinals had been hoping to get Edman back prior to the All-Star break, but it's possible the little hiccup with the ankle last week will convince the club to push Edman's return back until the start of the second half. He's been out all season while recovering from wrist surgery. Rotowire.com Today, 9:30 am

    • Out of Texas lineup
Heim is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Padres.

Advice: It's an afternoon game Thursday after Heim had caught each of the first two games of the series, so he will begin this one on the bench. Andrew Knizner will be behind the dish for the Rangers. Rotowire.com Today, 8:55 am

    • Day off Thursday
Vaughn is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest in Cleveland.

Advice: It appears to be a routine day off for Vaughn after making seven straight starts. The White Sox are giving Gavin Sheets a start at first base while Vaughn gets some rest. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 am

    • Allows four runs in loss
Gilbert (5-5) took the loss against the Orioles on Wednesday, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks over 5.1 innings while striking out six.

Advice: Three of the four runs charged to Gilbert came across in the third inning when he walked two of the first four batters he faced, and he then surrendered three consecutive two-out hits. The right-hander gave up a solo shot to Ryan O'Hearn in the fifth, marking the first time he's given up four or more runs in his last six outings. Gilbert had gone at least six innings in nine consecutive starts coming into Wednesday's loss, while the three walks were the most he's issued since May 14 against the Royals, which covers a span of nine starts. • Two weeks out from rehab assignment
Casas (ribs) is likely two weeks away from beginning a rehab assignment, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The two-week estimate for the beginning of a rehab assignment pushes Casas' targeted return date to later in July. He's progressed to taking dry swings in the batting cage, having done so June 26 and again July 3. He's also tracked pitches against the Trajekt machine, which mimics MLB pitchers. The next big step for Casas will be hitting the ball in on-field batting practice. Rotowire.com Today, 5:32 am

    • Logan Gilbert gives up four runs in loss
Logan Gilbert allowed four runs with six strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a loss against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Gilbert worked through two quiet innings against the Orioles before things unraveled a bit in the third. He walked two batters to put a pair of runners on for Ryan O’Hearn, who doubled to put the Orioles on the board with two runs. Ryan Mountcastle singled to make it a three run game before Gilbert struck out the final batter to escape the frame. He surrendered one more run on a solo homer by O’Hearn in the fifth and recorded one out in the sixth before his day was done. The 27-year-old right-hander will take a 2.91 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and a 108/24 K/BB ratio across 117 2/3 innings into a start against the Padres in San Diego on Tuesday. • Josh Jung won’t return until after All-Star break
Rangers’ manager Bruce Bochy told reporters on Wednesday that Josh Jung (wrist) will be shut down until next week to rest his injured wrist.

Advice: The Rangers are hopeful that after resting for a few days that he’ll be ready to go out on a minor league rehab assignment. While it’s not a major setback, it does mean that Jung won’t rejoin the Rangers until after the All-Star break. Fantasy managers will have to continue practicing patience in the meantime.
