      The Cardinals transferred Edman (wrist) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

      Advice: Edman has been on the IL all season while working his way back from October surgery on his right wrist. The 28-year-old has resumed taking swings from both sides of the plate without incident, but since he has yet to be cleared for full baseball activities, the expectation was that he would still need at least a few more weeks to finish up his rehab program. With that in mind, Edman's move to the 60-day IL doesn't come as surprise, and his potential timeline for a return won't be dramatically affected as a result.       Advice: Josh Lowe is starting in center field in his first game off the IL, but Jonny DeLuca will shift to center field and bat 9th. Both DeLuca and Siri are right-handed hitters and are facing a right-handed pitcher, so this seems like a sign that DeLuca could get a real shot to take the Rays’ center field job. Siri’s playing time had always been linked to his strong defense; however, DeLuca is also a strong defensive outfielder and might have more offensive upside. The Rays certainly like him since they made him part of the return from the Dodgers in the Tyler Glasnow trade this offseason.       Advice: Rafaela's fifth-inning, two-run shot gave Boston a lead it never relinquished. It was the Red Sox's first home run in a span of 220 at-bats dating back to April 27 when Rafaela connected as part of a four-hit game against the Cubs. He was hitting just .156 leading up to that four-hit game, which appears to have triggered his bat.
