    • Fills box score Tuesday
Gelof went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, one stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Gelof took Alec Marsh deep in the fourth inning to provide the Athletics with enough offense to weather the Royals' comeback attempt. This was Gelof's third multi-hit effort in his last seven games, though the homer was his first since June 5. The second baseman is starting to put together better at-bats, but he's still at a .195/.250/.335 slash line with six homers, 18 RBI, 20 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 54 contests this season. • Dominant in fifth straight win
Lodolo (8-2) earned the win Tuesday over the Pirates, allowing a run on four hits over seven innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: A Ke'Bryan Hayes homer in the seventh inning was the lone mark against Lodolo on Tuesday as he earned his fifth straight win -- the left-hander hasn't allowed more than two runs in a start during that span. Overall, Lodolo's ERA is down to 2.76 on the year with a 1.01 WHIP and 70:15 K:BB across 65.1 innings. He'll look to extend his winning streak to six in his next outing, currently scheduled as a home rematch with the Pirates early next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:07 pm
    • Zack Gelof hits three-run homer, steals base
Zack Gelof went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and a steal as Oakland’s No. 9 hitter Tuesday against the Royals.

Advice: Gelof is pretty much impossible to use in shallow leagues while batting at the bottom of Oakland’s order, but one modest hot streak should be enough to put him back into the top third of the lineup. He’s at .195/.250/.335 right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:54 pm
    • Short outing vs. Mariners
McKenzie (3-4) took the loss Tuesday against Seattle, allowing four runs on three hits and four walks over 2.1 innings without recording a strikeout.

Advice: After holding the Mariners scoreless through his first two innings, McKenzie allowed five of the first six batters to reach safely in the third, ultimately allowing four runs before the Guardians turned to the bullpen. The 26-year-old McKenzie has struggled of late -- he hasn't made it through six innings in five straight starts, posting a 7.04 ERA in that span. Overall, his ERA is up to 4.48 on the season with a 1.46 WHIP and 65:42 K:BB across 70.1 innings. He'll look to right the ship in his next outing, currently scheduled for this weekend at home versus Toronto. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:15 pm
    • Locks down seventh save
Diaz earned the save in Tuesday's 7-6 victory over San Francisco. He pitched a scoreless inning, allowing one hit and no walks with no strikeouts.

Advice: After an RBI double by Pete Alonso provided New York with the lead in the top of the ninth inning, Diaz entered in the bottom of the frame to gather his second save since returning from the injured list June 13. The flamethrowing closer yielded a leadoff single to Jonah Heim before inducing a groundball double play and flyout for his seventh save this season. After struggling with an 8.68 ERA over 9.1 innings in May, Diaz looks healthy again and has regained control of the Mets closer role. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:58 pm
    • Edwin Díaz works scoreless ninth for save
Edwin Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth with a one-run lead for his seventh save Tuesday against the Rangers.

Advice: The ninth started with a bloop single that third baseman Mark Vientos probably should have caught in shallow left, but it appeared he got spooked by Brandon Nimmo’s arrival. Fortunately, the ball was hit by Johan Heim, who settled for a single when an average runner might have gotten a double. A double play followed, and Díaz then got a flyout to end the game. • J.P. Crawford has two hits, HR in win
J.P. Crawford went 2-for-3 with two walks and three RBI in a win over the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Crawford had two of the five hardest-hit balls of the game with a 106.2 mph double and a 105 mph home run, which was his seventh of the season to go along with 21 RBI. Crawford remains in the leadoff spot for the Mariners but had just one hit in his last seven games coming into today. He’ll remain a fixture in the lineup and has added legitimate 15-20 home run pop over the last two years, which keeps him on the deep league fantasy radar. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:33 pm
    • McKenzie can’t escape third inning in loss
Triston McKenzie allowed four runs on three hits in 2 1/3 while walking four and striking out nobody in a loss to the Mariners.

Advice: This is now the fifth straight subpar start for McKenzie, who had an uptick in velocity tonight but saw no benefit from it. We know he’s pitching through an injury, and he’s just clearly not healthy when he’s out there on the mound right now. He didn’t throw a single slider in the strike zone tonight and had just a 40 percent zone rate overall. With Gavin Williams on the way back, you have to wonder if McKenzie might be in jeopardy of losing his spot in the rotation. He’ll take a 4.48 ERA into an okay matchup against the Blue Jays this weekend, but he’s simply tough to trust right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:20 pm
    • Nick Lodolo tremendous in win over PIT
Nick Lodolo allowed one run on four hits in seven innings in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: The left-hander struck out eight and didn’t walk a single batter on the day. He got 18 whiffs on 50 swings for a 36 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW on the day. He did a good job keeping his fastball upstairs and the curve low in the zone, which led to a 57 percent whiff rate on the curve alone. Lodolo has always showcased high upside but injuries have gotten in his way; yet, he now has a 2.76 ERA on the year with a good start against these same Pirates next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:05 pm
