    • Corbin Burnes logs quality start in loss to Yanks
Corbin Burnes logged a quality start in Wednesday’s loss to the Yankees, giving up just two runs on four hits over six strong innings of work.

Advice: The Orioles’ ace struck out six batters on the night while issuing only one base on balls. All of the damage done against him — and in the game — came on a two-out, two-run homer off the bat of Oswaldo Cabrera in the fifth inning that just barely stayed fair and creeped over the wall in right field. Burnes got 14 swings and misses on 95 pitches in the contest — seven of those on his slider — while registering an elite CSW of 34 percent. Now 3-1 on the season, he’ll carry an outstanding 2.61 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and a 41/9 K/BB ratio (41 1/3 innings) into Tuesday’s matchup against the Nationals in Washington. Rotoworld 29 minutes ago
    • Start pushed back
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Wednesday that Gallen (hamstring) won't start Friday as scheduled in an effort to provide him extra rest, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Advice: The right-hander was originally set to start Wednesday, but Tuesday's starter Jordan Montgomery was pushed back a day since the start time was delayed two hours. Gallen apparently isn't having any issues with the hamstring injury that surfaced in his previous start, but Lovullo has still decided to give his ace some extra rest. The earliest Gallen will take the mound is Sunday versus the Padres, but it's possible he gets some additional time, as team off days Thursday and Monday give Arizona some flexibility. • Zac Gallen (hamstring) won’t start on Friday
Diamondbacks’ manager Torey Lovullo told reporters Wednesday that Zac Gallen (hamstring) will not start on Friday.

Advice: Lovullo noted that Gallen’s hamstring is actually fine now, they just want to give him some extra rest. Expect the Diamondbacks to finalize their rotation plans for the weekend shortly. Rotoworld Today, 3:32 pm

    • Wins third straight
Ober (3-1) earned the win Wednesday over the White Sox, allowing four runs on six hits while striking out three over six innings.

Advice: After allowing two runs in the opening frame, Ober settled in to hold Chicago to just two more runs over his final five innings en route to a third consecutive winning decision. The four runs were the most Ober's allowed since he was tagged for eight runs in his first start of the year against Kansas City -- he'd held opponents to two runs or fewer in each of his subsequent four outings. Overall, the 28-year-old right-hander sports a 4.55 ERA with a 1.04 WHIP and 28:7 K:BB through 31.2 innings this season. Ober's currently slated for a home matchup with the Mariners in his next turn. • Bailey Ober gives up four runs, wins anyway
Bailey Ober won despite allowing four runs in six innings Wednesday against the White Sox.

Advice: It’s Ober’s worst start since he gave up eight runs on March 31, but still not too shabby. He’s sporting a 3-1 record, a 4.55 ERA and an excellent 1.04 WHIP. Next up is a home start versus the Mariners. Rotoworld Today, 2:27 pm
    • Sits against right-hander again
Fraley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres.

Advice: For the second straight day, Fraley finds himself on the bench with a right-handed pitcher (Joe Musgrove) on the hill. The Reds haven't indicated that Fraley is nursing an injury, but the outfielder has thus far struggled to bounce back since returning to the lineup after a week-long absence due to an illness. In his first three games back in action, Fraley went 0-for-11 with five strikeouts. If Fraley is unable to show improvement in his subsequent starting opportunities, he could fade into more of a part-time role for Cincinnati. Rotowire.com Today, 11:47 am
    • Out again Wednesday
Encarnacion-Strand (hand) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Padres.

Advice: He'll miss a fourth straight start due to lingering left hand soreness following a hit-by-pitch. Encarnacion-Strand has been available off the bench the last two days and presumably will be again Wednesday. He could be back in the lineup Friday against the Orioles after the Reds' off day Thursday. Rotowire.com Today, 10:56 am
    • Grabs first win
Scott (1-4) earned the win Tuesday over Colorado, allowing an unearned run on a hit and a walk in one inning. He struck out two.

Advice: Scott allowed the free runner to score in the top of the 10th inning on a two-out Ryan McMahon double before ultimately striking out Hunter Goodman to end the frame. The Marlins would then score twice in the bottom half, completing the comeback victory and giving Scott his first win this year. The left-hander hasn't allowed an earned run in his last six appearances -- he's 4-for-5 in save chances this year with a 2.84 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 12:13 K:BB across 12.2 innings. • Steal, two RBI in loss
India went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Padres.

Advice: India delivered a two-run single in the sixth inning then put himself in scoring position with his third steal of the season. He took a turn at cleanup -- his first time this season -- as the Reds continue to work around the absence of primary cleanup hitter Christian Encarnacion-Strand (hand). India is 9-for-23 (.391) over six games since returning from an illness that cost him four days. Rotowire.com Today, 4:29 am
