Byron Buxton is not in the starting lineup for the Twins against the Rockies on Monday.
Advice: Buxton is hitting just .223/.276/.357 in 47 games with three home runs and three steals. He’s sporting a 31 percent strikeout rate and is just 3-for-26 to start June. At 30 years old, after multiple injury-plagued seasons, it’s possible Buxton will never recapture the form he showed in his earlier seasons. Manuel Margot will start in center field for the Twins on Monday, and, Buxton does not need to be held in shallow fantasy leagues.
