    • Crushed in loss
Nola (8-3) took the loss to the Red Sox on Thursday, allowing eight runs on 11 hits and two walks with two strikeouts over 3.2 innings.

Advice: Nola had two disastrous innings, allowing four runs in both the second and fourth. The fourth inning was especially rough, as he surrendered a three-run homer to Tyler O'Neill and was unable to complete the frame. According to Matt Gelb of The Athletic, the eight earned runs allowed by Nola tied a career high, and his season ERA climbed from 2.77 to 3.48. Despite the rise in ERA, Nola had previously rattled off five consecutive quality starts and owns a 1.08 WHIP and 78:24 K:BB in 14 outings. He will look to rebound next Tuesday in a home matchup with the Padres. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:42 pm

    • Back in action Thursday
O'Hoppe (groin) is starting at catcher and batting fifth Thursday versus Arizona, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: O'Hoppe had to sit out Wednesday's contest after getting hit in the groin by a foul tip Tuesday, but he is seemingly feeling well enough to catch Griffin Canning in Thursday's series finale. The 24-year-old backstop has been white-hot at the plate recently, going 10-for-23 with a homer, two RBI and five runs scored since the beginning of June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:23 pm
    • Logan O’Hoppe returns to Halos lineup on Thursday
Logan O’Hoppe (groin) is back in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: O’Hoppe is back handling the catching duties for Thursday’s series finale against Arizona following a one-game absence after taking a foul ball to the groin area during Tuesday’s contest. The 24-year-old backstop appears to have avoided serious injury and shouldn’t miss any additional time moving forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:05 pm
    • On verge of rehab assignment
Polanco (hamstring) is slated to run the bases before Thursday's game against the White Sox and then head out on a rehab assignment, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Advice: Polanco has been progressively ramping up his level of activity in recent days, apparently without any setbacks. MLB.com reports that general manager Justin Hollander indicated team trainers would jointly assess Polanco's condition with the veteran infielder following Thursday's activity, at which point the length of the rehab assignment would likely be determined. • Hitting for power
Siri went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double Wednesday against the Cubs.

Advice: The 28-year-old looked to be in line to lose playing time as both Jonny DeLuca and Josh Lowe have gotten healthy, but Siri has now started 11 of the Rays' last 13 games. He has gotten hot at the right time to maintain his role, as he's smacked four homers and four doubles in that span, overshadowing his 34.8 percent strikeout rate. Siri is hitting just .192 for the season and has stopped running -- he has one stolen base since April 6 -- but he may be able to continue producing in the short term. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:33 am

    • Goes deep in rout
Torres went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run, an additional run and a walk Wednesday in an 11-5 victory against Kansas City.

Advice: Torres further busted open the game for the Yankees with a three-run shot off Daniel Lynch in the seventh inning. The long ball was his second in June and his sixth overall this season. Four of the long balls have come over his past 21 contests after Torres went deep just twice over his initial 49 games. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:47 pm

    • Records save No. 22
Helsley allowed one hit and struck out one batter over a scoreless inning to earn a save against the Pirates on Wednesday.

Advice: Helsley had a rough outing Tuesday against Pittsburgh, giving up two runs over one frame to take the loss. He was right back on the mound the next day and bounced back nicely, working around a leadoff single to finish off the victory. Helsley has converted 22 straight save chances since blowing a save in his first opportunity of the campaign, and the 22 saves overall leads all major-league pitchers. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:34 pm
