    • Sliding back to setup role
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Tuesday that Ginkel will go back to a setup role upon the return of Paul Sewald (oblique), Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Lovullo wants to throw Sewald back into the closer role immediately, saying that if a save opportunity should arise Tuesday, it would go to Sewald. Ginkel filled in admirably as the temporary closer, going 5-for-7 in save chances while posting a 2.57 ERA and 14:3 K:BB over 14 innings. Certainly, it's a major hit to his fantasy value as he shifts back to being a setup man. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago
    • Taking seat against southpaw
Cruz is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Angels.

Advice: The left-handed hitting Cruz was in the lineup each of the previous two times the Pirates faced a southpaw, but he will begin Tuesday's game on the bench as the Angels send lefty Patrick Sandoval to the hill. Alika Williams will occupy shortstop and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 11:00 am

    • Goes deep, swipes bag
Morel went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer, a walk and a steal in Monday's loss to the Padres.

Advice: Morel put the Cubs on the board with his two-run shot in the sixth inning after snagging a steal earlier in the contest. He has five hits over his last five games and four of them have left the yard. The 24-year-old is slashing .220/.315/.449 with 12 extra-base hits (eight home runs), four stolen bases and 23 RBI through 35 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:36 pm

    • Cole Ragans fans eight versus Brewers Monday
Cole Ragans yielded two earned runs on two hits over six innings in a no-decision against the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: It was another stellar outing from Ragans, who now has allowed just four earned runs in his past three starts. The only damage against him came off a Gary Sanchez two-run home run. The 26-year-old southpaw has recorded at least eight punch outs in back-to-back games. After allowing seven earned runs to Baltimore on April 20, Ragans has looked sharp and is a must-start for fantasy managers throughout the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:27 pm

    • Coughs up three runs
Castillo (3-5) yielded three runs on three hits over 6.2 innings Monday, striking out seven and taking a loss against the Twins.

Advice: Castillo fired four shutout frames before the Twins broke the scoreless tie in the fifth inning. He later was charged with two more runs in the seventh. Entering Monday's start, Castillo had turned in four straight outings with two or fewer earned runs allowed. He's factored into the decision in each of his eight starts and snapped his three-game winning streak Monday. Despite the up-and-down start to his season, Castillo has registered a solid 3.54 ERA with a 56:11 K:BB through 48.1 innings. His next start is currently projected to be at home against Oakland this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:55 pm
    • Punches out eight
Ragans allowed two runs on two hits and two walks over six innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out eight during the win over Milwaukee.

Advice: The lone blemish on Ragans' line Monday was a two-run shot by Gary Sanchez in the fourth inning. After the long ball, Ragans retired the final seven batters he faced, with three coming via strikeout. He matched his season high by forcing 19 whiffs, with nine coming against his changeup. Since getting hammered for seven runs against the Orioles, Ragans has posted a strong 2.04 ERA and 21:8 K:BB over his last three starts. The 26-year-old will carry a 3.38 ERA into his next outing, which is lined up to be a road matchup with the Angels this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:01 pm

    • Luis Castillo pitches well, but picks up loss to Twins
Luis Castillo gave up three runs — two earned — over 6 2/3 innings in a loss Monday to the Twins.

Advice: Castillo allowed just an unearned run over the first six, but two more crossed the plate in the seventh. The right-hander struck out seven against three walks, and it was another solid outing for the 31-year-old right-hander. Castillo has a very friendly match-up coming over the weekend against the Athletics. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:52 pm
    • Tommy Edman (wrist) moved to 60-day IL
Cardinals transferred Tommy Edman from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Edman now won’t be eligible to return for the Cardinals until the end of May as he recovers from his wrist injury. Chris Raycroft was selected from Triple-A Memphis with the added roster room. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:14 pm

    • Moves to 60-day IL
The Cardinals transferred Edman (wrist) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

Advice: Edman has been on the IL all season while working his way back from October surgery on his right wrist. The 28-year-old has resumed taking swings from both sides of the plate without incident, but since he has yet to be cleared for full baseball activities, the expectation was that he would still need at least a few more weeks to finish up his rehab program. With that in mind, Edman's move to the 60-day IL doesn't come as surprise, and his potential timeline for a return won't be dramatically affected as a result. He won't be eligible to make his 2024 Cardinals debut until May 24. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:47 pm
