    • Craig Kimbrel earns 17th save
Craig Kimbrel struck out the side and walked one batter on Wednesday to nail down the save against the Guardians.

Advice: Kimbrel continues to drink from the fountain of youth. His 17th save snapped the Orioles’ losing streak and he has his highest strikeout rate since 2021. He is locked in as the closer in Baltimore. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:12 pm
    • Shane Baz fans seven in latest start at Triple-A
Shane Baz delivered another strong start at Triple-A Durham on Wednesday, giving up two runs on six hits over his five innings of work.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander piled up seven strikeouts on the night while issuing two free passes. Baz got up to 93 pitches in the ballgame, throwing 59 of them for strikes. He’ll continue to dominate at the Triple-A level until the Rays have had enough of Aaron Civale, or until they gain another year of team control over him following the All-Star break. • George Kirby flummoxes Rays over six frames in win
George Kirby struck out seven and allowed one run over six innings on Wednesday in a win over the Rays.

Advice: Kirby coughed up an early run-scoring single to Yandy Díaz, but managed to keep Tampa Bay’s lineup quiet from the third inning onwards to net his seventh win of the season. He induced 13 swinging strikes, including six on his four-seam fastball, and finished with a pedestrian 28 percent CSW. Of course, he also didn’t hand out a free pass in this one. It wasn’t his most dominant effort of the season, but was more than enough to lead Seattle to a much-needed win. The 26-year-old righty has allowed two earned runs or fewer in six consecutive starts dating back to May 29. He’ll carry a strong 3.35 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 96/9 K/BB ratio across 99 1/3 innings (17 starts) into a tough come outing on Wednesday against the Orioles. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:21 pm

    • Sharp in seventh win
Kirby (7-5) allowed one run on four hits while striking out seven over six innings to earn the win Wednesday over the Rays.

Advice: Kirby had his way with the Rays on Wednesday as he managed to get through six innings for his third win in his last five starts. Kirby has been on a tear, allowing two runs or less in six consecutive starts, posting a 1.70 ERA with three walks and 40 strikeouts in that span. He has the third best ERA in MLB since May and he'll look to keep it going in a tough matchup vs. the Orioles next week. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:13 pm

    • Drew Thorpe’s start pushed from Thursday to Friday
The White Sox will go with a bullpen day Thursday and push Drew Thorpe’s start back to Friday.

Advice: It’s good news for those rostering Thorpe, as he’ll now face the Rockies instead of the Braves. The downside is that it means he probably will miss out on a road start in Miami next week. Jonathan Cannon and Garrett Crochet are set to follow Thorpe this weekend, so it appears Mike Clevinger will make another rehab start. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:30 am

    • Stumbles but secures save
Helsley allowed two runs on two hits and two walks in the ninth inning Monday, striking out two and earning a save against Atlanta.

Advice: Helsley loaded the bases with just one out but managed to escape with a save in the 4-3 win. It was the second time this month he's allowed multiple runs in an appearance, and the third time in his last 13 outings. Despite the recent shakiness, Helsley has converted 27 consecutive save chances since blowing his first opportunity of the year. He owns a 2.83 ERA and a 42:15 K:BB through 35 innings. • Helsley picks up 27th save against Braves Monday
Ryan Helsley allowed two runs and picked up the save against the Braves on Monday.

Advice: It was an eventful ninth inning in St. Louis. Helsley entered with a 4-1 lead and proceeded to load the bases on two walks and a hit. With one out, Ramon Laureano singled to make it a 4-2 game and Travis d’Arnaud hit a sacrifice fly to bring the Braves within a run. Helsley then struck out Zack Short on a slider to end the ballgame. His ERA is up to 2.83 now, but fantasy managers can’t complain with 27 saves already in the bank. Rotoworld Monday, 7:17 pm
    • Perfect for 26th save
Helsley picked up the save Sunday against San Francisco, striking out two batters during a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Helsley has two more saves than any other closer and is now 26-for-27 on save chances this season. While he's been able to dodge blown saves, Helsley has had to work through plenty of trouble lately, allowing multiple baserunners in seven of his last 12 appearances. Still, the 29-year-old holds a 2.38 ERA and a 40:13 K:BB across 34.0 innings this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:48 pm
    • Tagged for six runs
Miller dropped to 6-6 on the season in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Marlins, allowing six earned runs on six hits and one walk over four innings while striking out three.

Advice: Miami jumped on Miller early with a four-run first inning. He gave up another run in the second before Jesus Sanchez scored the Marlins' final run with a solo shot in the third. Miller has allowed 15 earned runs over five starts this month, resulting in a 4.88 ERA in that span. Two of those outings have accounted for 13 of the runs. Miller has produced a 4.89 ERA since the start of May, driving his season mark up to 3.90. He's currently in line for a home matchup with the Twins next weekend. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:56 pm
